if you make a field in wpnewsman lite and give it a label with non-latin letter, the field value won’t come in the email.

make a simple registration form with two fields
    1. labelled ‘N?m? entry place’ (these are Polish characters but any non-latin will do).see the shortcode is ‘n?m?-entry-place’
    2. labelled ‘Normal entry place’. shortcode is ‘normal-entry-place’

now place that shortcodes in your welcome email (the one user gets after regirstering) notice how the values are missing when non-latin character is used in the shortcode.

  • Hello,

this issue is fixed in the 1.7.3 version of the plugin which will be released in the next couple of days.

    Hi,

This problem was not resolved. All non-latin characters are replaced with “_” symbols and shortcodes creates like as [newsman sub=’_______’].

Next problem with non-latin characters is in CSV-import. All non-latin characters transformed to non-readable symbols.

    Hi,

yes, sorry. We broke it with the fix for diacritics replacement as jamysz requested. This will be fixed in 1.7.4 which will be available later today.

    Regards,
    Alex L.
