So I see the drop signature and I read about regular expressions but when I turn on the drop signature it brings back my tag start and end?
Is this correct?
I really don’t know how to write this regex and the editor that postie sends you to just sits and spins so any help here would be greatly appreciated.

How do I use the :start and :end ??

Ok it just seems like it’s combining 2 steps you already have the email that comes with the login link and you click on it and it fills your username and you add your temp password and then why not just let you change your password right there why do you have to go to the admin panel and find the password part and then change your password.

The adman panel, changing your password??? Like one person said it felt like they were in a part of the web site that they shouldn’t be.

In the mean time if you say it’s safe I’ll give the password on registration a try.

I did that and the password field was perfect and worked really well, but I’m concerned about that being easy for hackers to get into my site if I don’t go through the email step … or isn’t that a problem??

Couldn’t you just make a step in the registration that after they register they get the email link to login https://www.mysite/wp-login.php click it like you do now and goes to the login page just like it does now – only this time it asks for their temp password and allows you to type your new password in twice — adds the new password and then they are registered? I know I’ve done this somewhere. Or maybe it was just a dream.

ok so I tried all of the plugins and registered a bunch of fake people and for some reason it’s working now with all of the plugins turned back on????
not sure why but maybe something was just stuck.

I’m trying to figure out which plugin to start with some I can’t turn off like mingle forum if I deactivate the forum will the posts delete? and some don’t seem like it would be a big deal. any suggestions on which one could be the culprit?

I really need this work because I have the post to email set to capture the forum emails to admin and I need a private email to post to. not the admin email.

The problem I have is the only way to test if it’s a plugin is to turn them off one by one, some of them can’t be turned off, and the only way to test is… to what?? register myself.

That would be a good suggestion.. add a “TEST THIS EMAIL” to the plugin.

any chance anyone knows where in mingle forum the php edit plugin the admin email is generated?

I have set up a daily digest newsletter by cobbling together plugins “email to post” and “mailpoet”

I want to capture the email that mingle forum sends out notifying the admin that there is a new topic to go to the “email to post” email address but I can’t seem to find it in the php edit plugin.
