In my case at least, Elementor does NOT encode URLs in the database as you described, but it does save them in JSON, so forward slashes are preceded by backslashes. To make my search-and-replace work, I had to put backslashes in both the search term and the replacement. Apparently BSR doesn’t detect JSON encoding and do this automatically, which is disappointing.

All the pages on this site are built entirely with Advanced Custom Fields. I do not have custom field support turned on in Relevanssi, so it’s not unexpected that most of the pages have blank excerpts. Like I say, though, there is one page that has a custom excerpt typed out, so that should appear in search and it does not. The title of the page shows, no excerpt.

Also, I’m running the site with Chrome Developer Tools with the option “caching disabled” checked. In the Network tab, under the Size column, I see the download sizes (as opposed to “disk cache” if it were actually using its cache), so I know it’s downloading the files from the server.

Nope, sorry, minified files are NOT stored on disk. I SSH’ed into the server myself, and I confirmed the contents are in the database under the wp_options table. Don’t be fooled by the URLs.
