In reply to: [NewsFrame] Questions and SuggestionsEd,
I like your theme and the professionalism you have demonstrated toward a very green end-user. I, therefore, have told my assistant to subscribe to your professional theme.
I have 2 more questions:
(i), Can your theme support an archive feature, because I want to upgrade from my blog format to a daily or weekly format? If yes, how can I accomlish this feature?
(ii) Does the theme have a search feature similar to the one of Pocket, which might be the best at this moment, simple, logical and efficient?
In addition, I have one small cosmetic request, i.e., can I add a few more pxes on both sides of the hover color or the selected tap on the navigation Menu? Right now, I have made some minor changes in my Child theme, allowing desired colors for hovering and ultimate selection, but the colors got cut off right at the edges of letters on both sides, and if I can add 1px or 2px on both side, the taps will look much better because the additional room around the letters provides a sense of peace and comfort.
Since we are amateurs, but with professional tatse and desire, we may become a nuisance to you, asking stupid questions for help from time to time, are you prepared for such nuisance?
With many thanks, again,
Ken

In reply to: [raindrops] Some Coding ProblemsHi, Nobita,
Finally I was able to delete the orignal Parent Theme COMPLETELY, and reintsall the Parent. Now back to normal.
The only possibility was that when updating the most recnt one, the Style.css code did not come through. But, most co-incidentally, both updates for my websites had identical problems.
One last request for now: When you update the Theme, please duble heck the < Strong > and < em > features to make sure they work properly, because they don not work for me, and I will recode them with < b > and < i > for now.
Many thanksssssssssssssssssss for all the support and help,
Ken

In reply to: [NewsFrame] Disasterous Font Problems After the UpdateEd, just responded to the other thread.
My sincere apology and my hewarty thanks,
PS: The fonts are the soul of any newpaper. Your orignal fonts were the best, conveying a sense of integrity, nobility and humble beauty.
Everthing was perfect as was. Why chnage just to ruin it. My heart is bleeding for you and myself.
You should compare the fonts being used by New Yorker, NYT, Guardian, Bloomberg, WSJ and some local ones. Yours are unique.

In reply to: [NewsFrame] My Chid Theme Disappeared?Hi, Ed,
Thanks for getting angry with me.
Here is my website:www.wcctimes.com.
If you restore to the orignal setting before the update, the presentation looks regal with impeccable integrity, and a touch of humbleness.
The current looks are just another run of mill without any chracter nor the antique beauty your Theme uniquely possessed.
Also, the Nevigation bar is too big and the hover color block is to stingy, compared to the previos version.
If you insist on the new version, please let me have my old version back. Just instruct me how to restore.
Many sorrinesses and many thankssssssssssssssss,
Ken

In reply to: [NewsFrame] My Chid Theme Disappeared?Found mt Child Theme, but the fonts have been altered compeletely. The new fonts are UGLY, destroying the original classy and somber looks. Very depressed.
I tried my best to refont per WP Google Font; it is a lot of work change sizes and styles etc.
The worst paret is anything from h4 down looks the same–ugly and sqaurely. I have tried many fonts, but to no avail.
Can the deveopler allow the enduer an option before updating to such undesirable styles–now an unacceptable taste.
Can the developer allow me to restore the original fonts and save them into my Child Theme.
Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
I might have found the problem. The style.css code is missing from the parent theme. Please provide the code and double check your recent update. Thanks,
No, I cannot, because the moment I signed in, I was directed to a standby theme, which is 2014, not Raindrops at all. I am trying to access from cPanel, but was confronted with the same problem. Any suggestion? Thanks,
After updating to current 1.247, I lost everything in my child, because the parent themes are gone. I have no access to my child themes at all, and I tried to reinstalled the parent theme without any success, because it said the parent already existed. But NOT correct. I don’y hvae the parent themes for all websites using Raindrops at thismoment.
Sorry for the new trouble.
