When I was testing it, and the emails were allowed through, I was using an email address without any special characters.

The email address was of the format : [email protected]

Apologies for not responding earlier – I only got an email when you closed the ticket – rather than when you updated it.

Anyway … many thanks for implementing the new feature but unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work

I have both “Links” and “Email Address” (the new feature) set to “Disallow”.

If I submit the form with a URL in the message body then I get an error message and the submission fails. So that works well.

However, if I submit the form with an email address in the message body then the submission (unexpectedly) works and the email is incorrectly sent.

I was getting similar problems to this. Just upgraded to 4.9.0.3 and seems to be fixed

I am getting this problem too (v4.0.6)

I normally just have the organisers name defined in the Organizer record. I have copied the name into the website field. This is now showing – so at least people can see who is organising the event – but it is a bit confusing as it is labelled website. It looks like the problem is with the organiser name being displayed.

The buttons disappeared from my site too after an upgrade. I did an upgrade to WordPress 4.2.1 and also ran plugin updates including maxbuttons. The buttons disappeared from my site. My hosting company changed the PHP version to 5.6 for me – but the buttons still didnt appear.

I ran a deactivate followed by an activate of the plugin and the buttons then re-appeared on my site.

Thanks Stephen. I can live with the scrollbar in the short term – but great to know that 3.0.0 will sort it out.

Good news – thanks for the speedy resolution. I’ll keep an eye out for 2.13.0
