In reply to: [Gutenberg] Love it, but still I don’t understand+1 more. Include it as an activated Plugin with new WP installs.
That way you won’t risk breaking a few million auto-updating websites, and you will see if both new and old WP users are attracted to how great it becomes (hopefully).
But for now, my recent experiments with Gutenberg were a total fail, and I ended-up using “Page Builder by SiteOrigin” as a lighter-weight Divi alternative. Gutenberg has got a looonnngggg way to go before it has any chance of being a viable and competitive page builder… if ever. Please don’t force this buggy beta upon the WordPress community. Listen to LZL0 and the hundreds of passionate WP users who are trying to steer you in the right direction. Make it a default Plugin.

In reply to: [Social Share Icons & Social Share Buttons] Viewport Meta Tag option?John,
I noticed you updated Ultimate Social Media Icons PLUS to v1.1 and the upgrades look great. However, my feature request was not included (see details above) and as expected our “Update Control” plugin did its job and overwrote all your plugin files with the new version, including our hack, thus munging our Mobile-Detect + mobile.css system on all client websites.
Please consider implementing an option that disables this auto-scaling feature in the next release. Possibly it could be implemented as follows:
Under Question #6, in the “Sticking & Disable on mobile” section, just add the following option:
Disable auto-scaling feature for mobile devices (“viewport” meta tag)
(_) Yes (*) No(*) No = default: (adds “viewport” meta tag)
(*) Yes = disabled: (does NOT add “viewport” meta tag)Once again, there is beer in the offing, so please let me know if you can fit our request into your next release.
Thanks
KP

In reply to: [Social Share Icons & Social Share Buttons] Viewport Meta Tag option?Thank you John for your fast response and for putting our little theme-tweek on your ToDo list. I just updated our review and included how impressed I am with your commitment to supporting this fine plugin. Please let me know when this option is in place and I’ll “Mark this topic as resolved” and buy you a beer.
