This is not a bug, but a feature! ?? Jokes aside, EML has more strict policy on allowed mime types since v2.8.10.

Please let me know this font file extension and mime type. Also, what is the role of a user that is uploading it?

It seems that I found a problem with the search.

It appears when media files are being filtered by a category and then the search stops working inside it.

I am still testing and fixing this. If you experience exactly this issue please confirm.

media_category or any other attachment taxonomy created with EML, or any other plugin, or with the code is just an ordinary WP taxonomy. The ties between the media files and media_category are stored in the database like for any other WP taxonomy.

So, to migrate your website with attachments and terms (categories) assigned to them, just use the admin menu?Tools?>?Export and choose All content. Then, use Tools?>?Import on your new website.

This is a known issue that could be solved by unchecking Show count checkbox in the plugin’s admin Media > Media Library > Filters > Show count. The issue is critical for users with a lot of media taxonomies. A few categories don’t produce too many requests.

The plugin’s code needs refactoring to get rid of the issue completely while keep counting the number of files in every category. It’s partly done but needs a serious revision because it was written 2 years ago. I’ll issue an update with the re-factored code as soon as it is possible in the circumstance I live in.

Hi guys,

An update was issued. It addresses an important security issue related to MIME types. Since v2.8.10 the restrictions for MIME types allowed for update are hardened. The more advanced role management to allow some potentially harmful file types for trusted users is in development.

I am back to maintaining this plugin. Sorry for all the disappointment and inconvenience caused.

Hi,

I am experiencing that same issue over a few websites. I use Cloudways Vultr server with WP apps on it. Not sure, may be a server-dependent issue.
