The issue is related to the recent change to the Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate which is being used by our website (see https://letsencrypt.org/docs/dst-root-ca-x3-expiration-september-2021/).

Your server makes a request to our server to register your license key or to get information about (possibly) available EML updates, but cannot verify the new Let’s Encrypt root certificate.

The only way to fix is to ask your hosting provider to update the CA certificate on their servers. Send them the link and explanation I provided above.

OR you can update the plugin manually. Please contact me at https://wpuxsolutions.com/support for further support.

I’ve made improvements to the code and will issue an update soon.

The problem was, in some combinations of plugins the initial indexation of the menu items array was significantly distorted and my code managed this not in a perfect way.

(1) Sorry, it’s unclear what you mean by this “the sizing of the editing block beneath each image result”. Maybe a screenshot? EML actually does not provide any kind of editing block beneath an image. Maybe you confused it with some other plugin?

(2) I tried to reproduce the search issue you described, but I couldn’t. The only difference in the search result I can see is when I change the search options (which is a feature, not a bug). The search options are available in the premium version only.

You may also encounter some compatibility issues when the plugin conflicts with another plugin or theme. To test and solve this I need more information about your environment.

Hi Kim,

I just activated Justified Gallery on WP 5.8.2 with EML 2.8.8, added a shortcode [gallery media_category="one"], and it perfectly shows the gallery based on the category “One” with the lightbox feature.

I believe you should use “dragon” with the lowercase D because it’s a slug, it cannot be capitalized. You can see media category slugs on this page: /wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=media_category&post_type=attachment

Here is the list of the lightweight gallery plugins compatible with EML and supporting dynamic galleries that you use:

Justified Gallery
Gallery Lightbox
Simple Lightbox

Also:
Jetpack Carousel
Jetpack Tiled Galleries

What you need is to install one of them and it will work with your current galleries. Just make sure to set in the Gallery Settings the “Link to” parameter to “Media File” not the “Attachment Page”.

I apologize for so long delay with the response! I tried to reproduce the problem but wasn’t able to do this so far.

Please try to set options as you need and then re-save your permalink settings at Settings > Permalinks. Also please make sure that the option “Taxonomy archive pages” is enebled.

Media Categories is just a regular WP taxonomy, so its terms are stored in the same database tables as any other WP taxonomy terms: wp_terms, wp_term_relationships, wp_term_taxonomy, see

Most likely, your media terms remain intact in your database. Just install and activate the plugin again, and you’ll get your categories back.
