In reply to: [Really Simple Issue Tracker] Missing important featuresHi anordby76 and thanks for your feature requests!
Of course, these features are definitely high-priority and you will see them in an upcoming release. My main issue is finding spare time to work on this plugin, but my schedule is looking more promising ahead.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Really Simple Issue Tracker] How can anyone write comments to an issue?Hi nyuwec and thanks for your report!
I will look into the 404 and comments issue. This must be under some external circumstances, I could not reproduce this problem in my environment (i can view and comment on issues in my theme).
What theme are you using? I am using wikiwp.
If you want to list all issues for a project you could link to a project in a menu. In wp-admin: Appearance > Menus. Toggle the top right “Screen Options” context menu and check the Projects and Issues checkboxes. You can now find their menu palettes to the left in the menu editor.
Workflow pages for issues is not implemented yet, the plugin is still in a really simple state right now, but I hope to find time to add some features such as this soon enough.

In reply to: [Really Simple Issue Tracker] Error right after activationHi Niels and thanks for reporting this issue.
I have fixed the error now and it will be available in the upcoming release of the plugin. The reason to the error: I was using a short open tag there which I do by old habit, some PHP installations does not allow these short open tags by default.
You can fix this yourself by allowing the use of short open tags: To use short open tags, it must be enabled in your PHP.INI. Search for short_open_tag in PHP.INI, and change the value to On. The line should look line:
short_open_tag = On

In reply to: [Really Simple Issue Tracker] How to let visitors enter issues?Hi McPringle and thanks for trying out the plugin! ??
I hope you find it useful!Currently the plugin does not support any public forms, short-codes or template tags that allows users to submit issues publicly through a page or post.
It’s a nice feature though and I will consider implementing such functionalities in a later release of this plugin. From my perspective the fundamental idea with the application of this plugin was that you would let your co-developers have a wp-user and access to wp-admin to manage issues directly from admin.
But of course I realize that there are so many other applications for this plugin than I can anticipate. Letting users submit issues is one of them.
Until next release, please feel free to adjust the code as you see fit.Best regards,

In reply to: [Really Simple Issue Tracker] Nothing seems to have happened.Hi and thanks for letting me know!
Could you please check and verify the following:
- Did you get any message of unexpected outputs when you activated the plugin?
- Issues is a custom post-type in WordPress, check the left side menu pane for a menu item named “Issues”. It should be located just below the “Comments” menu item. It should have a pin-icon next to it, just like the posts-menu item.

In reply to: [Sightings] [Plugin: Sightings] Activation failsYes, Sightings requires PHP 5.3 at least. Now since the release of PHP 5.4 earlier this month there’s even more reason to consider upgrading.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Sightings] [Plugin: Sightings] File error/PHP version and __DIR__Yes, as stated on the plugin page, Sightings system requirements is PHP 5.3 or later.
There’s a lot of bugs. I’m sorry about those, please keep reporting them as you find them and I’ll fix them as soon as possible. Also please update to the latest bugfix released tonight to solve some of them.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Sightings] Sightings map location not saving/displaying correctlyI will see if I find time. I will try to promote the newer technologies first whenever possible.
Meanwhile, try to get your web hosts or web hotels to upgrade their PHP versions. PHP 5.4 was released in march 2012 so that makes PHP 5.2 a legacy technology (released in 2006).Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Sightings] Sightings map location not saving/displaying correctlyThis error is due to your PHP version not being compatible with the system requirements for this plugin. Your version does not support the PHP magic constant __DIR__: https://php.net/manual/en/language.constants.predefined.php As you may have seen Sightings requires at least PHP version 5.3. I will see if I find time to make Sighings backwards compatible, but until then it is version 5.3 that is the minimum requirement.

Sorry for the late reply.
I don’t know if you have seen (or already ruled out) my plugin “Sightings”: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/sightings/
