    Hi Jason,

SmartSearchWP was designed to be as simple and intuitive as possible, which is why I haven’t felt the need to create an exhaustive documentation. The available settings are clearly explained on the plugin’s configuration page, and a FAQ section is provided to address common questions.

I’m sorry to hear that you find the plugin too complex to use—this is the first time I’ve received such feedback regarding its usability. That being said, I understand that every user has different expectations.

Since the plugin doesn’t meet your needs, I will proceed with your refund. You will receive confirmation shortly.

    Best regards,
    JC

    Hi

The issue was most likely caused by a license cache update delay. To address this, a fix has been implemented in SmartSearchWP version 2.5.1, which forces a cache reset during license verification.

While this update should resolve most cases, if anyone still experiences issues, please ensure you are using the latest version of the plugin and feel free to reach out via our support system (premium plugin) for further assistance.

    Best regards,

    JC

    Hello Jason,

I’ve tested your license on a local WordPress installation, and it activated without any issues (see attached screenshots in your ticket). This confirms that the licensing system itself is working as expected.

To further investigate what’s happening on your site, I need you to enable debug mode in the plugin settings and provide me with the debug log details. Here’s how you can do that:

    1. Go to SmartSearchWP > General Settings in your WordPress dashboard.
    2. Find the “Debug Mode” option and activate it.
    3. Try verifying your license again.
    4. Copy and paste the debug log details shown on the screen ‘error logs’.

Once I have this information, I can pinpoint what might be causing the issue on your setup and provide a fix. Please follow these steps and reply either here or via our support ticket so we can assist you further.

I appreciate your patience, and I assure you that I am here to help get this resolved for you as quickly as possible.

I’ll put the solution here for other people who may encounter this problem.

    Best regards,

    JC

    Hello benddesign,

We’re sorry to hear about your issue with the license. However, we noticed that your support request was submitted only 12 hours ago, and we have already provided a response. While we always aim to reply as quickly as possible, please keep in mind that time zone differences can sometimes cause minor delays.

The issue you encountered is not related to the plugin it self and can be easily resolved by following the reset license steps in your account page, as mentioned in our reply. If you need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re here to help!

We genuinely put hundreds of hours of work into SmartSearchWP, and a large part of it is offered for free to the community.
