Hi Andrew, TINYMCE doesn’t appear as a Plugin in the Plugins list, so I was deleting from the cPanel.

My site hadn’t been showing any signs of being hacked. Thanks for the links – I’ll check them both out.

Andrew, many thanks for your quick response, it is much appreciated.

The PDFs in the cPanel File Manager were all dated 2014, and have now been deleted.

Just doing another WF Scan – I’m thinking it’s probably best to delete the TINYMCE Plugin and reinstall a fresh one.

The developer of the other plugin Classic Editor Addon confirmed (in a separate thread) their plugin had a bug, they issued an update several days ago, and all is well.

Hey Rachel, go delete Classic Editor Addon which was added to your site automatically with the update today.

    Best of luck!

Confirming the Classic Editor plugin is working again now I’ve deleted the “Addon” plugin via cpanel. My site is ‘live’ again and I can login.

    Many apologies Classic Editor Team!

I discovered WP 5.3 installed a competitor’s plugin and removed the links for me to access your Classic Editor plugin.

I removed both plugins to solve the issue.

Next I put Classic Editor back in the plugins folder, refreshed, and all is back to normal – excellent!

BTW on their page on this site, the Classic Editor Addon developers make comments against Classic Editor which I felt uncomfortable reading.

    ********

PS – I temporarily fixed the problem by removing both plugins via cPanel, while I investigate further.

Just discovered one of my sites using Classic Editor is down – there may be many more.

I had never heard of this plugin until I logged into the cPanel to remove the Classic Editor plugin and try to get the site live again — only to find there was no way to disable it!

There was a “second” Classic Editor plugin – this one – and I did not yet know it had been injected into my site with the Update to WP 5.3 I did a few moments ago.

What a nightmare – I manage many sites and they may all be affected.

I see you are not the developers of the original plugin – I wish I had’ve known a new plugin would be added to my site which rendered a plugin of my choice turned “off”.Please advise when a solution will be provided.

Please also advise how to now access the Classic Editor plugin which was working fantastically well until now.

hi, not sure if it’s ok to post here or not, but I”m looking for a “broken” Featured Image solution.

I changed a site to now use Twenty Twelve and it is automatically grabbing the first image on each PAGE (yes, page!) and showing it full size. I’ve tried deleting them, but WP won’t allow me to. The minute I save the change, WP puts the featured image back at the top of the page.

So annoying and many pages on my site now look awful. Actually, it is doing this only on pages I EDIT, but if I don’t touch the page, it’s ok.

Reading thinkurr’s comment above, “featured images … is enabled in settings” — I can’t find Settings for Twenty Twelve anywhere. Perhaps I’m missing something?

If I have posted this in the wrong spot, I do apologies. Please let me know what I should do instead. Thx!!

Hey Danny, I have the latest WP 3.7.1, and Quick Cache.

I discovered the Widget Blocks were appearing as new blog posts in my sidebar, so popped over to Posts and there they were — but still not showing up as options under the widget on the Widgets page.

Very odd indeed – I’ve had to delete them as I don’t want them appearing as blog posts.

    Cheers

Hey Mattie, thanks a bunch. This morning the client decided to just do it manually, so that was good too. I haven’t used your plugin before so as soon as I have time I’m going to check it out ??

Thanks Matty, I’ll check that link out!

Yes, I had already enabled the button in the settings, maybe it’ll appear tomorrow. It’s night-time where i am so I’ve had enough websites for one night. ??

Matty – thanks for the amazing speed with which you’ve replied! You rock!!

So I guess the answer is that there is NO way to import subscribers.

    Ok we’ll add them manually.

PS – I’ve seen reference to an icon S2 in the wysiwyg editor menu, but certainly not in the installations I have using www.ads-software.com + Firefox on Mac (latest versions of all).

    Thanks again Matty!

    Well this plugin sounded fantastic!

    Unfortunately there are issues:
    — you cannot click the EDIT link after publishing, because if you do – it turns the HELP page into a POST
    — I’ve tried it every which way, even by ONLY editing from the Help sidebar links, but it just doesn’t work

    ——————-
    Solution 1:
    For the developer
    ——————-
Is there any way to add a “class” of “help” to the TYPES OF POSTS in the Editor dashboard?

If we can RESELECT the “help” POST TYPE AFTER editing, perhaps it can be saved back into the Help category/type?

    ——————-
    Solution 2:
    For the user
    ——————-

Whatever you do DON’T EDIT after you’ve published the first time as this is when all the problems arise, and your Help document will be reverted to status of TYPE: POST.

    ——————-
If both these were fixed, this could be a fantastic, really cool plugin, and I can’t wait to be able to use if for clients!

But — on that subject — can we prevent Clients from editing the Help section? It seems that anyone can change anything, and if a client even clicked on “MANAGE”, that particular Help document will be removed from the list of available documents, moved to a blog post, and might totally confuse the client.

Fingers’ crossed all of this can be solved soooon!

    Hi,

I can’t find instructions, took ages to work out where the Settings were (hidden BEHIND the video on settings page, click TITLE BAR above video to reveal more settings), but nothing works.

Went to the developer’s site, but the plugin can’t be found by searching.

    Has this been discontinued?

Is there anything anywhere online to show simple set-up and troubleshooting?

It sounds like a good product – shame I can’t get the videos to play ??
