I use all of the defaults from the install. What is weird is it is slow posting WordPress.com as my own site. Other things load pretty quick on my own site.

I checked the admin module with the plugin disabled, and I have an error, plus the DB Server, Username etc all seem to be blank. Is a coppermine file in the wrong place?

No ?? Sorry i should have said that. Still not working. Is it possible that there is some PHP or host parameter that is missing. I am running the 1.2 release of WP. I emailed you the two pertinent configuration files thought that maybe that would help.

I have verified and rechecked the account information for connecting to the CPG database.

When I enable the plugin I get an error from wordpress:
We’re having a little trouble selecting the proper database for WordPress.
Are you sure it exists?
Your database name is currently specified as webguynj_WordPress. Is this correct?
On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like
username_wordpress. Could that be the problem?
My coppermine information is in a separate database the wordpress. I have tried using the same ID and a different ID to connect to the database. Is there a limitation to wordpress/php/or this plugin that the copermine data has to be in the same database?

Fiona, I and others asked for this a while back. The changes are outlined in the CVS repository. I’ve been looking for an easy way to extract that information so that the developers could include that as a running change log in the nightlies.

I’ve created a work around for this here This should support older versions of the GD Library like 1.6 with older PHP builds like 4.2.1

Allusion: Can you tell me, is there any chance you can roll these changes up into the nightlies?

chmod 777 fixed the problem on my server. Is this an error in the documentation?

To my knowledge there is no .htaccess file. I haven’t placed one anywhere in my site and I don’t see one anywhere when browsing via ftp.

You might want to check this out. SpellerPages is opensource available on SourceForge. I haven’t implemented it myself but it sounds pretty straight forward.
