In reply to: [Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager] plugin needs an update for WP 5.7Hi there!

WebKinderHi Ed
We’re sorry you’re having problems with our plugin, thank you for reaching out to us.
You need the container ID in the following format: GTM-XXXXXXX.
Have you checked the box that says “Use GTM instead?”To check if it is working we suggest using the Google Tag Assistant.
If you are sure the settings are correct and it is still not working, can you please send us the website you’re having trouble with so that we can check that for you?
Kind regards
WebKinderHallo Wanabe

In reply to: [Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager] Confusing SettingsHi Fred
Thanks for reaching out to us and we’re sorry the settings are confusing for you as a newbie.
You can either use GA only or with the option “Use GTM instead” you can use GTM only. You can’t use both at the same time with the plugin. If you activate the GTM option, you’d have to deploy GA through GTM to register page views etc.
So if you use GTM for tracking other things, you can simply add a regular Universal Analytics Tag to GTM. That way you are deploying GA through GTM. In this case, you activate the option “Use GTM instead” and paste the GTM-tracking code into the field for the GTM-tracking code.
If you only use GA, you don’t need the GTM setting in our plugin and can simply paste the UA-tracking code into the GA-tracking code field.
I hope this helps you pick the right settings for your needs. If you need any help setting it up, feel free to respond here again so we can have a look at it together.
Kind regards

In reply to: [Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager] Sumcheck errorHello @clarkchen
Thank you for your bug report. We have already removed those two folders but it seems like this is not updated retrospectively (makes sense as the checksum needs to stay the same). This will be fixed with all upcoming releases.

In reply to: [Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager] GTM no-script code not foundDear Ximenavin
Thanks for reaching out to us.
I can see the GTM and Google Analytics being deployed correctly on the page you mentioned. Is the issue still active? If yes, please make sure you have set up your tags in Google Tag Manager correctly and the container is published, otherwise the tags are not being fired.
Let me know if you still need help with this.Regards,

In reply to: [Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager] Triggers ModSecurity Rule 214540Hi @d2roth
First of all thank you for your very detailed bug report. We are happy to tell you we included it in a new release 1.8.1.If you may find another bug and you are able to solve it yourself like you did here there is the possibility to open a pull request in the GitHub Repository here: https://github.com/webkinder/google-analytics. If you have any feature request you may also open an issue there. I also added a new disclaimer for that in the readme.
Regards
WebKinderDear Viktor
I just checked your site and it seems that you are providing the same GTM Code twice. See here: https://jmp.sh/oLA5uTk
Try to disable all other GTM or GA Plugins and double check that you are not also loading it via your theme.

In reply to: [Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager] Link to Google Search Console?Hi there!
Thanks for contacting us.
Did you verify your site through the Google Analytics verification method?
If yes, the plugin is already delivering your tracking code on your website. You can check if Google Analytics is properly implemented by testing it with the Google Tag Assistant extension in Google Chrome.
If you see the Google Analytics tracking code being displayed and you have verified your Google Search Console property already, you should have no problems linking these together.
Do you see the property at all when trying to link them together? Have you tried refreshing the Google Analytics page and deleting all cookies? Here you can find a guide on how to link Google Analytics with Google Search Console.Let us know if that worked for you or not.
Kind regards

We waited for the status to be passed to MailChimp with no success.
Does anyone have any input on how the refund could be passed on?
