FYI, as I say in the thread I started for my own instance of this bug, I’ve resolved it in my setup. I had an old setting in my theme (suffusion w/child theme) that caused the issues with later versions of IE.
So now I’ve got it working everywhere, to the best of my testing and feedback from users.
Turns out it was a setting in suffusion for making the site compatible with IE 7. I turned it off, and voila! Everything works.

I’ve resolved this (dancing in the street ensues).
After turning on the default theme and seeing the calendar work properly in IE 10 & 11, I did the turning off of plugins, etc. No joy.
Then I combed through the huge number of Suffusion Options available. The pertinent setting is in Back-end > SEO/Meta settings > Force IE7 Compatibility View. I had that ON. So after turning that OFF then testing again, everything is working properly in all the platforms and browsers I’ve tested against.
And that also fixed an issue with Tabby Responsive Tabs I had with, you guessed it, IE 10 & 11. Now it’s displaying properly in all places as well. This after a couple of hours in CSS last night. I’m writing this as a reference for others. Thanks for maintaining the plugin. Best wishes to the others who have hovering issues also.
I will confirm GCE 2.2.1 will not show events on hover in IE 10 and 11 in every version of Windows that can run those browsers.
It DOES work properly in Firefox 36, Chrome 41 and Opera 27 in Windows 7, 8, and 8.1, and in IE 8 and 9 in Windows 7.
On the Mac, it works on every browser I’ve tried, Safari, Firefox, Chrome, Opera.
So, at least for me, the only issues are with IE 10 and 11.
I hope there’s a fix soon, this is my favorite calendar plugin. I’ll check the threads and lurk some more now.

In reply to: [Simple Events Calendar] Year wasn't showing, changed plugin php page to fixI forgot to say, I still don’t have the year showing on single day events.
The only way I could see to create such a post was to put the same date in the start and end fields. I’m sure that has something to do with it. Did I do that right?
Again, if someone knows how to solve the problem, I’d appreciate that!
I will close this thread as resolved, thanks again.
Well that worked! Strange how it used to work before with the default but I’m not going to try and figure that out.
Thanks so much for the prompt help!
That is now set at 30. I had it at the default before (can’t remember what that was now), I only changed it in my recent attempts to fix the problem.
