In reply to: 3.9.1 is not saving pages properlyEsmi would care to contact me directly and I can prove without a shadow of a doubt that the £ symbol cause a STOP SAVE COMMAND.
Both myself and my programmers and my main hosting company have checked it extensively and have had to use & # 1 6 3 ; in order to create the Pound sign. If we do not the page stops saving at the Pound Sign.
Funny that all my pages now save correctly and all sites are working fine, now that we have replaced all £ signs.

In reply to: 3.9.1 is not saving pages properlyOk to all at WordPress,I have found the issue and am surprised by the change in code. It is not a site specific error, it is in fact and issue in your code.
In 3.9 or 3.9.1 you have decided to add the code that the UK pound Symbol now means STOP!As WordPress is now responsible for over a 1/3 of all websites, did it occur to your programmers that using an international currency symbol of the Pound as a STOP CODE might just cause an Issue on ALL UK E-Commerce sites.
If you had done this with a Dollar symbol you would have fixed it immediately.
Obviously the UK market is not considered to be important enough to even warrant a notice that the £ Symbol now = STOP.
Regards
David Finch

In reply to: 3.9.1 is not saving pages properlyWell then Esmi can you explain why 15 sites and a multi site all on my servers, all controlled by me, all work just fine. All were updated to 3.9.1 using Update.
The 2 new builds dont work on the same servers as the other 15 sites and multi site.

In reply to: 3.9.1 is not saving pages properlyOk no luck, According to my Hosts, everything is working fine.
Which of course I already knew as I host 15 sites and they all work fine, with 3.9.1.When I hit Publish, i get about a 10 second roll and 33 lines are all that is saved. However, if i go to my Database and update directly there everything is fine.
Since i have read over 200 posts about virtually the same issue, it must be something to do with the install as it is only effecting Fresh Installs and not updates.
I have no option but to roll back to a version I know works.
As i Need my Site working.

All are fine except the 2, I created 3 days ago using 3.9.1 in a fresh install. One as a rebuild of our main Hosting site (costing me money having it down and the new test bed to make sure all clients plugins work with 3.9.1Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 3.9.1 is not saving pages properlyEsmi I realize you are trying to be helpful, but you are telling me things I have already done, in duplicate.
Fresh Installs, duplicated.
No Plugins, Duplicated.
New Fresh Databases, duplicated
Remove all but config, htacess and wp-content and reinstal from fresh copy, duplicated.both sites on different IP’s and using different Databases are both producing identical Results, I can only write 33 lines per page unless i do my editing in the database.

In reply to: 3.9.1 is not saving pages properlyDeleted everything but wp content and htaccess and config, re installed from fresh download after deleting all other files, and i still get exactly 33 lines on every single page no matter how much text is there, the min i edit, it saves only the 1st 33 lines.

In reply to: 3.9.1 is not saving pages properlylast night I did 2 clean installs, one on the site were updating and one on my test bed, both with no Plugins installed and running twenty fourteen theme, and guess what, it still wont save the pages
I have 12 other sites running WordPress, it is only happening on a clean build, all the updated sites are fine.
It only saves 33 lines of code, Visual is off as I don,t use it.
Both Installs stop at exactly the same line 33, they are on separate IP’s and Databases.
Any Ideas?
