Its been sorted now, I have a cheap MYSQL hosting account hosting account with EUK and users have reported similar problems, these were due to mod rewrite and .htaccess issues.
The EUK guys provided a fix pretty sharpish, so problem sorted now. Thanks, it was a long, tear your hair out, what have I installed wrong feeling.
