It sounds as though you are building pages outside of WordPress. Is this
correct? Would it be easier just build them within WordPress?
Also, your browser should have a tool called ‘Inspect Element’. By using
your mouse and rte-click, you should be able to scroll to the section that you want to change. There was a post about 2 years ago that gave this instruction, but you are following that instruction.

I am not familiar with using ‘page builder’ for adding posts and pages or why it is a better solution. There has to be something going on in the background of WordPress that makes it all come together. Are you unable to build pages within WordPress? It seems to be an unnecessary step you are taking to accomplish the same task. That1s what I would recommend.

I will monitor this issue and see if someone else has a better solution.
And if not I will help you look into the issue further.

Would you please tell us more about what you have done so far; what tools you are using, where you are making the changes and how, etc?
Are you editing your ‘child’ theme?

I want to do the same thing thing for a few websites sitting on my local machine. Just curious how did cherry_2000 get through these instructions?

OK gents, this may sound really dumb from your position, but by chance is there a backup solution in place, and if so, can they be retrieved from there?

I’m no expert, but I would hope that a company would have such a solution, and if not, this would be the perfect time to seriously look at one.
