In reply to: Locked in maintenance updateThanks Lisa; To confirm cheekymomma – there is a file through FTP in the root directory – or typically public_html – that is literally: .maintenance – if you click on the file name and click delete – your website should load properly.
If all plugins are disabled, the site and home url is pointed properly in the database, and the theme is a default theme and everything has been replaced fresh with copies from the WordPress archive – perhaps there is something else happening on your server – can you please verify that this has been done?

In reply to: Sub-menu size issueTake from here: https://athemes.com/forums/topic/change-submenu-font-fontsize/#
Please try to use the following CSS code to change sub-menu font size to 16px, changing font family is more complicated because there is !important keyword in defining it.
You can add CSS code to your site with Simple Custom CSS plugin (just copy CSS code and paste it in Dashboard → Appearance → Custom CSS after installing and activating the plugin). Also you can add CSS code directly to style.css file of your child theme.
#mainnav .sub-menu li a {
font-size: 16px !important;
}Are you familiar with how to view and change ownership of a file? Who is your host? Perhaps asking them to reset server file permissions for you could resolve it.

In reply to: Unable to access adminYou may have not properly changed the entries in the database. Can you access your old domain? Do you have a backup? There are a lot of database tables that must be modified to ensure the domain will carry in the configuration when loading.
If you can respond if you have a backup and access to the old domain I can help further.

In reply to: My blog is offlinePaying the money you owe them is the best route to go. Talk to them, see about potential discounts. Who knows. If you can’t afford the website, unfortunately, you can’t afford it. You can setup a free website almost anywhere with a small purchase for the domain name as an alternative.

In reply to: Website images broke.It is within the theme files. It will have to be updated – but inevitably would be best to upgrade everything and ensure it works – then use a new slider like Revolution Slider, or anything that’s been patched recently. TimThumb had some vulnerabilities and keeping things up to date goes hand it hand with the site just “working”.
