thanks so much for looking into this.
I can confirm it was happening with just elementor and yoast enabled.

I just upgraded to Elementor 3.2.2 and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Apparently it was a known issue (I found people having the same issue here https://www.facebook.com/groups/Elementors/) very likely related to the latest (now not anymore) version of elementor.
