In reply to: [SharDB] What is the Advantage of Using SharDB over Hyper DB?Ron,
Thanks for answering.
Is one better than the other for performance or do they do the same thing just in a different way?
smayernik,
Thank you.

In reply to: [WP-PageNavi] How to noindex pagenavi pagesScribu,
I’m assuming that following your advice you would put:
Dissallow: /page/*
and that this in turn would inform the search engines not to index your pagination pages?
Just want to make sure.
Thanks,
Matt

In reply to: [Image Widget] [Plugin: Image Widget] No image shows on siteHello,
I’m having the same problem on my site, however, at one point I did have the images working and then all of a sudden they “diappeared” I have reuploaded them and they worked for a few minutes however, only in Firefox but not in IE or Google Chrome. This widget is great idea as none of us want to mess with code and I hope that we can get it working. Please let me know if there is an update or what to do.
Jonniboo,
I just check the premium theme that I am using and it does not have the line of code:
<?php wp_head(); ?>
I’m going to check with them and see why,
Thanks,
Matt
Glad to hear you got it working.
I actually had to simply add some text to the page in order to get it to work (not sure why that is I simply wanted the gallery to be there but its not like the posted text is intrusive) Anyway, glad to hear we’ve both got it working.
Hello Mamaestes,
I just did a fresh install of wordpress on a subdomain with no plugins and Next Gen is working perfectly.
Not sure about you but I know that it is something on my site and not the Plugin. Thought I’d let you know. (I have a sneaky suspicion it is a javascript confliction)
Mamaestes,
Same here.
My site is at:
https://www.edmontondentalcare.ca/testimonials
and all I’m getting is the short code.
Glad to know I’m not the only one but like you would love to get it working.
Its not working for me on either posts or pages.
Not sure if its a plugin conflict as I’m using the TINY MCE advanced editor but I don’t see why that would be an issue, however I’m no expert and would really appreciate any insights.
Thanks,
Matt
I too am having a problem with nextgen only displaying the[nggallery id=x] in the page. I just installed the plugin as it looks awesome, however I’d love to get it working. Is this due to WP 3.0.4 conflicts or am I doing something wrong?

In reply to: [WPing.FM] [Plugin: WPing.FM] Not publishing@bart Its unfortunate that we are having these issues, I wonder how many others are. Ping.fm used to work like a charm, frustrating to hear that things have gone downhill.
I send an @repy on Twitter to Seismic and heard back from someone but haven’t had the time to follow up with it. I’ll post on here if and when I get it resolved.
In the mean time I’m using the post2pingfm plugin but like Doug I cannot get my api to work as it has been suspended.
@doug I thought that the new api key restriction was limited to new api’s been issued to developers and not end users but I could be wrong.
@doug, I would be more than willing to get plugin developed or to even develop a service like ping.fm as I’m tired finding services like this and seeing them eventually not work or be abandoned.
Anyway, in the meantime, I’m using the networked blogs service and have my account posting on my FB Fan page and Profile as well as my Twitter Stream which are the major platforms I’m using but it would be nice to be able to post to the others.
Again, I’ll keep you posted on any updates from my end.
Matt
Ed,
I found this one here that does it:
https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/stealth-login/
But it has not been updated for over 2 years and is not compatible with WordPress 3.0.1
Would love to see this incorporated into bullet proof security.
Matt
Ed,
Have you ever considered building this functionality/feature into the plugin:
This a joomla plugin that products the login page with a key/password.
Personally I think this would be great but I’m not expert.
So in other words, if someone were to go to my site https://www.mysite.com/wp-login.php they would need a password/key to see that page (which is what that joomla plugin does) if they don’t know the key they are simply redirected to the home page.
What do you think?
Matt
