i’m not sure I follow. Do you mean that the database shouldn’t just be set to the domain that I will use but also to the folder that the domain get’s it’s info from (mydomain.com/mysitefolders)?
Or from the “head” site (oversite.com/mysitefolders)?

I’ve read it many times but still can’t figure out what I did wrong.
I didn’t change hosting company but I changed it to another account.
When I go to my old domain in redirects to the new one and it wants me to install wordpress.

I tried to put in update_options for the url in the wp-login.php file but nothing happened. I am now trying to change the url directory in the database. I logged in to the phpAdmin and found my database but there was no tables found. Does someone has an idea what can be wrong?
