fixed. filezilla needed to install the plugin in binary.

Nevermind. I have to use CSS to get rid of it. Didn’t think I would have to do this.

Bumping this up.

Here is my issue now. With the plugin active, my site is functional with the exception of my homepage ONLY if I’m logged in. The error that pops up while on the homepage while logged in is, “This webpage has a redirect loop”.

Here is the process:
Fresh visit to my site – cookies have been cleared and everything works great.
I then log in as a member to my site.
It then tries to redirect me to the homepage, but then I get the error “redirect loop”.
If I close the browser and visit my site again, same error “redirect loop” because my cookies are enabled and has me logged in.
If I clear the cookies and then visit my site, everything works fine, but I’m no longer logged in and the process starts over.

However, if I am logged in and know a sub-directory address “sitename.com/about” then that page works fine and I can navigate from there. But as soon as I click the homepage button, I get the error “redirect loop”.

This happens across all browsers. What are my options?

Is your Continue button working on mobile? Mine just refreshes the splash page and doesn’t continue to the site, but it works on desktop.

That method didn’t work for me unfortunately. I renamed the main folder and I still have the problem. Anyone else try this method with success?

There are a lot of people that are experiencing this problem with the latest update. We are all looking for answers with no response from anyone from Yoast. The only thing we can do now is wait for another update.

I was running the latest Yoast SEO 1.7.1 on wordpress 4.1. I wouldn’t update to the latest Yoast SEO until they release a new update that’s compatible with WP 4.1.

So strange how it was working for us and then just crashed.
