I had my website set up with Weebly and it was running well. Then I decided to install WP and my blog page disappeared, then when I try to edit anything in the page it just takes me to the website without giving me any of the building tools. I uninstalled WP to get my blog back for now but I want to be able to reinstall it again and have it working. How can I get the editor working?
    Thanks

Weebly is a hosted website builder (think of this as dining from a restaurant), while WordPress is a self-hosted website builder (think of this as cooking at home). It’s simply impossible to have your entire family both eat from a restaurant and dine at home AT THE SAME TIME. You’ll need to split your family if you want to have the two dinner experiences simultaneously.

In like manner, you cannot have both Weebly and WordPress working simultaneously at the same top-level address https://leonardobriceno.com. Instead, you can “split” them and have one work at the root domain https://leonardobriceno.com/, while the other works at a subdomain, say https://blog.leonardobriceno.com/, https://store.leonardobriceno.com/, etc.

Also, it looks like you’re getting your Weebly site from Hostgator. On this help article about Weebly, they state:

    Moving Weebly Sites

Based on the restrictions of Weebly, we are unable to move a Weebly site’s content to a new domain name. Though the files themselves would transfer, Weebly is not able to integrate the files properly, and the site would not be editable on the new domain in Weebly’s interface.

This means if you want to keep your Weebly site and make it editable, you CANNOT move it to a sub-domain: it has to remain where it is now. You can, however, install a WordPress site at a sub-domain.

If you ultimately want to get rid of your Weebly site after your WordPress site is fully built, you can setup your WordPress temporarily at a sub-domain (eg https://wordpress.leonardobriceno.com/) and take all the time you want to build it to your heart’s desire. When you’re done, you can then remove your Weebly site and change the WordPress’s address to use your primary domain https://leonardobriceno.com/

[Note: If SEO is important to you, set your temporary WordPress site to be hidden from search engines (and optionally, people) until the site is fully built and you’ve changed the address.]

    I hope that helps.

    Good luck, and stay safe!
