Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Hide My Site] Clicking logo requires loginOk, I am beginning to get frustrated with this plugin. The behavior is really erratic. Sometimes, I am not prompted to login and I see the development site or a login doesn’t appear until I click a nav link, and some nav links require a 2nd login.
I just went back and deactivated every non-essential plugin and now every link is requiring a login. Very inconsistent.
Also, I have tried deleting this plugin and it does not completely delete. there are remnants left behind that my website sill accesses and prompts me to login.
I need your response ASAP as I have a presentation Monday morning.
Ugh. sorry, this was posted to the wrong thread. It’s been that kind of day.
I am having a lot of issues with Hide My Site. Almost every page was requiring a login which was supposedly fixed. I am using the latest 2.0.5. After I tried to trouble shoot, I ended up disabling and clearing all settings then deactivating the plugin only to realize that my development site is still referencing the plugin. Most of the password screen is showing.
I tried deleting the plugin and my site was still referencing the plugin. I then reinstalled and tried removing via FTP. Nothing changed.
I have since reinstalled and activated the plugin so I am not introducing any new issues for my client. Please help!! I at least need the ‘login every page’ issue fixed. But, I also need to know that when I delete the plugin when I go live that it will truely be deleted.
URL:
gb.werlecreative.com/wp-gbThat might be it. I have a bypass url that I shared with them. It didn’t cross my mind that that might be capturing my details. I will check back after this website goes live. Thanks for chatting!!
This website has not gone live yet so I have it hidden behind a coming soon page. Is there a way to make my comment private or can I direct message you the link?
That makes sense. I had a hard time, after logging out, getting my information to clear. It wasn’t until I restarted my browser and did not log in that the information cleared.
I sent a link to a friend and my information was still entered. He doesn’t know my login for ADMIN and I am not requiring users to login or create an account. How does this work? Did it carry my credentials over to my friends browser?
An update in the future might be to allow ADMIN roles to disable this autofill. Especially when testing.
Well, I just posted this and Boom, now my info is not showing. Not sure what happened, but everything is gone. I does appear that if I am logged into the WP Admin, then my information is automatically entered? Can CSR respond if that is correct?
