The filter list is a straight pass through to WordPress test function. It looks like the WordPress function is not working properly.

For the “disable tease for categories and/or tags” is suppose to work that way. Unless I misunderstand what you mean by all other categories no longer tease. Please give more information about this issue you are complaining. Posting your settings will help.

For support for “sentence aware” tease, there is no good way to do that because paragraph break is a html tag but sentence can end in a few ways. Also the period does not always marks a sentence break. For example think of the salutation “Mr.” or “Dr.” etc.

Besides, many users are complaining about the long processing time in Post Teaser. Adding more complicated process would just make a lot of users unhappy.

So far, I can not see any issue with your settings. The theme you use, is it paid or free? if free can you point me to where to get it. I’ll have a look at the theme in my test env.

From the above, I can’t see what is wrong. Can you post the settings for Post Teaser? Specifically the settings under “Tease message control” and “Advance tease control“

What do you mean by building achieve and category pages? You should not need to build those pages unless you want it to be visually different then the homepage.

When you set the homepage to show a ‘page’, your homepage will essentially be a single page and only valid URL to the ‘page’. If Post Teaser is allow to tease that page, you will have no way of reaching the full page so. I don’t believe that is what you want.

I don’t think there is a way to do what you want without hacking the theme somehow.

Not currently. It will be considered in future releases. However, due to the complex nature of keeping track of where the post was break and marking it with the # bookmark, it will not happened until the earliest on next major revision. Furthermore, because the way Post Teaser handles the break, some parts of Post Teaser will need to be redesigned in a major way to support this feature.

I’ve found the problem that causes the failure to pickup the post Custom Field. Watch for the next release going out today.

Did you try to reset your settings in Post Teaser Settings page to default and configure Post Teaser from scratch?

There are some new options introduced in this version that could cause problem if not added to the settings. Unfortunately, I’ve not figure out how to automatically add those upon upgrade so, that steps is manual for the time being.

I’m not sure I understand what you are saying but I’m going to try to address your question anyway. Here goes…

PostTeaser DO NOT work on singular pages. PostTeaser is design to work in normal non-page homepage as well as archive pages. If you need to tease a “page”, I think you should roll your own page template that pulls the excerpt.

Using PostTeaser to tease a single “page” homepage is too heavy and therefore you should avoid using such plugin.

Using the wrong tool to do the job is like trying to cut down a tree with a penknife. It will only earn you frustration. ??

I might do that if ClamAV claims that PostTeaser is infected with virus but the OP did not mention what antivirus was use that gave the false positive for PostTeaser.

First, you should move to 4.0.1. Second, there is no virus in the distribution. Third, there is such a thing call false positive with these virus scanners (of course there are also false negative but that’s a different story).

If your copy is infected, it happened after the fact and you should download again from www.ads-software.com. Please don’t post baseless comment. If you have prove (other then relying on one virus scan), I would like to know as I’m sure as hell can’t find any virus of any sort in the 3.11.3 package.

Could you try disabling all plugin and re-enable 2 plugin at a time where 1 plugin is the PostTeaser and the other is one of the plugin you currently use. Check if you have problem updating a post and if no problem, change the other plugin to the next one on the list of plugins you currently use.

Do that until you see the problem you have describe and report what is the plugin.

Are you using Search Unleashed? The problem you have sounds like the symptom where Search Unleashed and PostTeaser are both activated.
