Hi @vitsupport, thanks for letting us know.
At present, you would have to remove the sites from the account you no longer wish to use, and reconnect the site using the account you do.
Many thanks,
Peter. Thanks for your reply, I’ve noted the precise circumstances of the query you mention to the team looking at making those changes.
Hi @maikel123,
Any files uploaded to your site will be checked by our firewall rules, so it shouldn’t matter which plugin is involved with generating or handling the form.
I’m unable to discuss upgrades from Wordfence Free here but if you contact our team at presales @ wordfence . com, they can check whether your use-case is suitable and discuss the process further.
Thanks again,
Peter.Hi @previsha,
You shouldn’t need to manually allowlist by inputting the params yourself if the plugin block is being detected in Live Traffic, or it works when Learning Mode is enabled. Did you try those methods and the problem returns when Learning Mode is disabled?
In order to assist with the param/name, I’d need to see a copy of the full GET/POST request made by the plugin as those will be revealed to us then. I wouldn’t know which ones are being used for your specific request at the moment.
Thanks again,
Peter. Thanks for letting us know! If it happens again in future, it could be related to a JavaScript conflict affecting the clickable guide so disabling other plugins and reenabling them one-by-one could help you find which one is conflicting.
Peter.
Wonderful that it’s resolved for you @miroslavglavic, we’ll keep your feedback around manual updates in mind although the failed mirror of core files at our end does sound like the reason 2,500 files were detected rather than the way you updated the site in this case.
Peter.
Thank-you so much for such a thoughtful and detailed five-star review @bones196!
We’re thrilled to hear that Wordfence has been able to provide the protection and peace of mind you were looking for after trying other solutions. It’s great to know that the 2FA feature worked seamlessly with your website theme and didn’t cause the disruptions you’ve experienced with your other attempts. I will note that our Login Security features are currently designed to work with WordPress and WooCommerce default login/registration pages so it’s clearly right for your use-case.
We also appreciate your feedback on the setup process, and we’re happy to hear that the plugin was easy to follow and helped you clean up and speed up your website in the process. It’s fantastic to know that you’re finding it user-friendly even without extensive technical knowledge. We do expect Wordfence to be installed on a vast range of PHP versions, server configurations, and admin experience levels so it’s geared to be as “one size fits all” out of the box, even though there are plenty of configuration options covered in our?plugin documentation should you ever want to dive a bit deeper. Our?Learning Center?is another resource we provide free of charge to explain what Wordfence does and how you can protect yourself further.
Regarding your future plans, we understand your caution and appreciate your trust in Wordfence. We’ve always been committed to providing great value in our free plugin and maintaining the integrity of our services as we grow. Since 2012, our founders have not only advanced the plugin itself, but also established an in-house?Threat Intelligence?team along with a generous?Bug Bounty?program. This allows us, with the hard work of others in the community to find issues that directly protect our customers with new firewall rules and improved malware detection.
If you ever have any questions or need guidance along the way, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re unable to discuss upgrades here on the forums, so by all means contact our excellent team at presales @ wordfence . com if you want to know more.
Thanks again for your support and kind words. We look forward to continuing to help protect your website!
Peter.
Hi @f9finance, thanks for getting in touch!
I’m not sure if this is from an error logging tool or just presented on-screen, but it looks like either a permissions or file-locking issue on your site. PHP Warnings shouldn’t be slowing down your site, although the site may be reaching timeout waiting for the operation to complete. Do you see any connectivity or permissions fail/error messages in your?Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics?page? The specific area to check would be to expand “Filesystem” near the top.
It’s also worth checking that permissions on your WordPress site’s directories are?
755
, and that the process owner is?www-data
?instead ofroot
. Usually Wordfence and other plugins will be trying to modify aswww-data
and will be stopped from doing so if a different user level owns the files. If you have persistent problems with file-writing permissions, you can bypass many of Wordfence’s by setting logs to use the MySQLi storage engine:?https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/mysqli-storage-engine/
Whilst that’s not the area you’re receiving a warning about in your post, our regularly updated signatures, rules, etc. could be a cause of slowdown if they’re also unable to complete and are timing out regularly.
Many thanks,
