Hi @arlinaite,
Have you tried deleting the “wflogs” folder? It will automatically be recreated and populated when a visit occurs.
It looks like there could a conflict either with the theme or one of the plugins you’re using, could you try temporarily switching to a default theme –if you’re not already using one– and disabling all other plugins then reactivating them one by one to see if the issue persists?
To do so I recommend the “Health Check” plugin which allows you to disable all plugins and switch to a default theme, but only for your user.
Checking the browser console could also provide details on what’s happening.
Hi @gomisan,
It could indeed be related to a delay after the newest update was released.
Have you tried to run another scan since the last one which reported these modifications?
Hi @stmedia,
Do scans complete on those sites? Can you see any errors in the PHP logs?
Hi @flea777,
Thanks for the update.
In case the problem occurs again, the browser console could maybe provide helpful information.
Another explanation could be that a plugin involved in the behavior you described was updated and that the conflicting code was modified.
Hi @ov3rfly,
Sorry about the delayed response.
I notified our development team regarding this behaviour; I will get back to you as soon as I get more information.
Thank you for your patience.
Hi @winner-singh,
From the screenshot you shared I can see that you’re already successfully using the “Immediately lock out invalid usernames” feature.
Wordfence will protect your site against various types of Brute Force attacks but it won’t stop hackers from trying.
I suggest you check this article from our Learning Center for more advice on How to Harden Your Site.
Hi @iframe,
Can you confirm that the Live Traffic feed shows only one connection for that user around that time?
Hi @alexdex,
Indeed, @bluebearmedia’s suggestion is to the point.
You can find more information about Learning Mode and whitelisting in our documentation.

Thanks, @bluebearmedia!
Hi @mcgregormedia,
Does the issue persist if you clear the cache?
Also, as the issue could be caused by a conflict either with the theme or one of the plugins you’re using, could you try temporarily switching to a default theme –if you’re not already using one– and disabling all other plugins then reactivating them one by one to see if the issue persists?

Hi @jjnlee,
Can you see any requests being blocked on the Live Traffic page?

This could be caused by a conflict either with the theme or one of the plugins you’re using.
Can you see any errors in the browser console when you try to perform the problematic operation?

Hi @zepolo,
In order to make sure which Firewall setup you should be using:
- Go to the Wordfence Tools page
- Click the Diagnostics tab
- In the Other Tests section (near the bottom of the page), click the link that reads “Click to view your system’s configuration in a new window“. This will open a Wordfence System Info page
Check the Server API field.
Also please check our Firewall Optimization Troubleshooting guide.
Hi @gorostas,
In addition to @jdembowski’s suggestions I would also recommend our site cleaning guide as well as our Learning Center where you can find useful tips to ensure your site’s integrity.
