In reply to: Activating any new theme does not install stock mediaThank you
Samuel! I can’t “friggin” believe it… that worked. Thank you so much. I can’t believe this isn’t a more widely talked about problem.
Thanks again.
WayneThanks for the effort but it didn’t work… I put the file in
/opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/wp-content/pluginsRestarted all services and then tried https://gregorigroup.com/login and got the same Error regarding cookies being blocked.
I may have to just run separate servers for all my sites… hard to believe that this will not work… Fresh multisite image install, no additional plugins two URLs… base url works and any subsequent URL fails to allow admin login…
THanks for any additional ideas.
WayneI decided to create a fresh install of multisite on Bitnami and I’m having the same problem. I have added two urls to multisite, base-url sfnet.org and my additional gregorigroup.com. I can login into admin on the base url but not on gregorigroup.com.
My settings are as follows for gregorigroup.com
Info->Site URL = https://gregorigroup.com
Settings-> Site URL = https://gregorigroup.com
Settings-> Home = https://gregorigroup.comThanks for any help you might provide.

In reply to: Install Lets Encrypt Certificates on a Mulitsite InstallationI should have used my provider’s ssl script… thanks
I guess what I need is a How-to install the SSL on an Ubuntu system. I’ve created the certificates… I need to make apache aware of them.
I could use some help setting up my ssl/multisite install.
I used certbot to generate my certificates successfully. But when I go into the website dashboard and navigate to Settings -> SSL there is a message that says “No SSL detected”.
I’m use AWS Lightsail so that isn’t a control panel to implement SSL…Thanks for any help that you can provide.

In reply to: Multisite install, cannot customize template, unable to reach serverProblem solved.
There are many install docs that advise to install a plugin (MU Domain) to configure the base domains. This is what screwed up my installation. I removed the domain plugin and just used the base install of multisite to configure the domains for each website.
Hope this can help someone.

In reply to: Multisite install, cannot customize template, unable to reach serverThe problem is with the Primary check box on the domain setup page. With the box checked it breaks the template editing…
With it unchecked the site url does not reflect the main url “domain.com” but a long url with the IP Address.
Any ideas?

In reply to: Multisite install, cannot customize template, unable to reach serverI started a new instance of Multisite WP – added two URLs. The first two (baseIP, one URL) allow me to edit their themes. The second website (third entry in the list) will not allow me to edit the theme… connection refused.
Please help!

wow! thank you for taking the time do such a detailed explanation. I’ll try it this weekend… I did an image of the system before I started… so I’ll just restore it… install the backup plugin and start hacking away.
Best,
