Same issue here! I’ve been using W3TC and recently upgraded to PHP7. Site loads so fast but CDN not working. Is W3TC not compliant with PHP7 or what’s the issue? I think it worked a little in the beginning but then stopped.

Mike, after turning off redis the attributes added while redis was on disappear. However after I added another attribute like you suggested the missing ones reappeared. Is there a reason for this? But more importantly, does it affect anything else except attributes?

I haven’t noticed this issue with posts, classes etc but want to be sure so I don’t loose/hide information by accident when turning off redis for whatever reason. Thank you so much.

Thanks for the recommendation, I have added my findings to that thread. Lets hope it gets fixed with the next release.

It seems you are right, but why did this problem only just appear with the 4.4 update? Shouldn’t all media thumbnails be invisible when admin is using https, and why are they all visible when looking in the media library with grid view instead of list view?

Yes I do! I use WooCommerce and checkout is also using https. However, https on the front end shows all media. In the admin using https some media also displays, it is roughly 50-80% of media that doesn’t show any thumbnails.

Yeah I tried that too but it didn’t make a difference. I also tried regenerating all thumbnails but it only fixed some of them while on the second server it fixed none. One possibility is that W3 Total Cache (previously used but off when trouble shooting) could have caused some change as I used CloudFront CDN. The strange thing is that even with W3/CDN off the thumbnails are still broken in admin.

Last thing to clarify: If I change from list view to the new continuous box view when looking at media in WP I can see all thumbnails. But things that rely on the old list view for media (such as galleries) will display broken image links when viewed in admin / post edit section.

I just checked the Apache logs, no fail, error or warning. Is there a specific code for error messages I could look for?

Where can I find the error logs? In WC-logs I only have PayPal logging.

To be clear the thumbnails are broken in the admin area but work on the live site. But browsing media using the list view shows broken thumbnails, as do any plugin that relies on showing thumbnails when creating content.

And to be extra clear, the second product tag is always present as its generated by Woocommerce.

    (@whereskarlo)

That’s strange because when I turn off your plugin there is no longer a duplicate Product Schema tag. The tag that gets generated when turning on WPSSO is Product 1 that includes the faulty breadcrumb. It’s not there when WPSSO is off.

Update: I just received another order paid for through PayPal.

I have now gotten 13 “IPN payment completed” notifications on the order from PayPal. When I check the IPN history in PayPal it says “retrying”.

How can I find out why WooCommerce fails to respond to the IPN so that PayPal knows it was successful?

I ended up switching to CloudWays too after successfully migrating and testing my website with Varnish, MemCached and everything else working flawlessly. Page load times were a little slower than Rackspace but the caching counters it. I also pay $30 instead of ~$60 at RS. If I go up one level I get better performance than RS for $75 and finally not having to dabble with the back-end anymore. I also switched because of running the latest Php which I needed for a plugin and updating that on RS turned out to be a pain.

To be fair I hate the fact that I ended up getting swooned over to CloudWays. However, I was getting real tired of pretending to be a sys-admin and Rackspace requires a minimum of $500 per month to get their managed services level (correct me if I’m wrong) which would have probably attempted to fix Varnish for me and installing the latest Php version etc. I was spending more time in the back-end than on WooCommerce and it actually feels nice to only worry about my website while knowing that the rest is taken care of without spending serious dough. I think CloudWays was designed specifically for WordPress + WooCommerce which is why it works for me.

I can’t access root so I can’t tell which settings they used for Varnish. But cart works and sessions work. The only thing that broke my site was activating W3 Total Cache as it messed up a custom plugin I have.

WooCommerce is proving to be less viable for every single new update. Who wants to risk their money and reputation and time with new updates when they can break their site? Having a live business break because of these things is unacceptable. WooCommerce needs to step up their QUALITY ASSURANCE protocols and run some better bug testing and beta testing. Live eCommerce websites are not supposed to be used for beta testing. There is a future for free eCommerce but being free doesn’t mean QA can be ignored.

This code does not work for me.

    I get an error.
