I just altered my image settings in the dashboard a bit (I guess I have to live with having slightly smaller images if I want them to be “retina” optimized…?)

If you go to this post: https://jeffwickphoto.com/tori-tucson-portrait-photography/,
all the photos there are “large” sized to 700px, but the originals I uploaded were all 1400px in one dimension. The largest one is about 1.7M (there are many smaller ones however). I did some more research, and I think (I THINK) part of the reason my file are so big is because there are uncropped JPEGS made from the RAW file of a Canon 5D Mark II…

Anyway, this post almost worked, on my retina screen the first three (four-ish) show up nice and sharp, but all the rest are blurry.

    What do you think?

Thanks for the suggestion esmi, I can’t really do anything on that list cause I can’t even access my dashboard…
But I searched the forums again and found this:

I seem to be having the same problem as this guy with one exception, I’m NOT using go daddy or any third party host, and I’m not using windows… I have Mac OSX.

One other thing, with this new version my site doesn’t even appear…
But it does when I keep old version in.

Any more suggestions about the log-in problem?

yeah I realize all that, and what I’m telling you is that I did all that, and I don’t really care if all you can say is

I thought I uploaded the files the same way as I did the first time.

    You didnt.

I know what I did and clearly you can’t help, so stop trying to make ME feel stupid for something YOU can’t understand. I’ve looked at other posts you’ve replied to, for some reason your idea of help is stating the obvious, then proceeding to belittle people and make them feel stupid because they can’t figure all this “simple” stuff out; which is only “simple” to people that spend all their time in front of a computer screen, remember you had to start somewhere too, and thats just what we’re all trying to do.
If calling your self the Simon Cowell of wordpress makes you feel better then thats fine, just do us a favor and don’t respond to any of my posts anymore.
And thanks for “friendly support service” I’ve herd about from www.ads-software.com.

and I think something went wrong when I tried to go to the upgrade link.. cause it didn’t give me instructions or anything like that, it just gave me a blank page with the wordpress logo in the upper left hand corner and a “>”.

yeah I have my wp-cofig.php file…. but i got frustrated and I deleted all the files so I could just start over, put all new wp files in home directory, then added the wp-config file I had saved, and now when I try to go to my site nothing happens. My site doesn’t come up or it doesn’t me to config… I don’t know what to do…
