What happened was a minor fault in cross-chain communication that led to one transaction activating network safety mechanisms. A straightforward upgrade should fix the issue; from what I’ve heard, it will be released in the coming hours.
Trial and error with a new network, let alone one that introduces an entirely new consensus mechanism, is a normal process, and Avalanche core remains incredibly strong and unmatched. Yesterday, Avalanche performed in terms of traction, which no decentralized innovative contract network other than Ethereum did.
