Brilliant! Thank you alchymyth!!
Thank you; sounds promising…I’ll play with it and see which version of appointy I’ll need to purchase to get all the functionality we need.
Ok, thanks! If you know of any other plugins or even services that can do this, please let me know!
Ok, thanks!
Hmmm…so I’d have to manually create 17,532 events before-hand.
I don’t think I want to do that… ??
Bummer; well, thanks for the reply! If anybody can think of a better way to do this I’m all ears.

In reply to: Will upgrade mess with customizations? Thanks James; I understand and have backed up.
But still freaked to try. Has anybody actually done this update? Did it mess with your customizations?

In reply to: The Events Calendar and Eventbrite for TEC 1.6 Beta 2Justin, thanks for the response. I dunno what happened, but the issue has magically been resolved! Now when I click those links, the previous or next month come up correctly in the same “calendar of events” view.
I really *did* clear my cache before posting here. Really!! ??
In any case, all better now. Thanks for a great plugin!

In reply to: [Plugin: Contact Form 7] email only shows messageSame here; using the default form for testing and added one line:
<p>How many PCs would you like covered?<br /> [text qty-pc] </p>
Added a number to that field and submitted the form, but still only the “message” showed up in the resulting email.

In reply to: The Events Calendar and Eventbrite for TEC 1.6 Beta 2Hey; great plugin! I’m testing 1.6, and on the month view page, when you click “previous” or “next”, they point to ?cat=12&eventDate=2010-05, rather than ?cat=12&eventDisplay=month&eventDate=2010-05.
I’m mostly a WP noob, so I can’t find what file to edit to make this change.
Help?
Thanks! ??Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: New wordpress site, or embed WP into existing site?Well, that seems to work fine; got all 3 blogs setup and running, with feeds linked to our homepage. Very cool! Thanks for your help, everybody!!

In reply to: New wordpress site, or embed WP into existing site? Thanks, moshu; I searched around and found this: https://www.feedforall.com/free-php-script.htm
I read the docs and had it setup in less than half an hour; pretty good for someone with ZERO php experience! ??
I am now messing with getting the output to look just right; but the basic functionality is working.
I think I may just setup 3 WP installs, give each pastor a full fledged Blog of thier own, and then use the above to show the latest 5 or 10 entries from each blog. Then when you click on one of those entries, a new window will open, showing the full-on blog. (I’m pretty sure I can figure out how to change the colors to sort of match our site.)
I’m thinking of creating sub-domains for each blog; pastor1.godsong.us, pastor2.godsong.us, etc., and installing a WP in each sub-domain.
Don’t know why I went into that much detail…maybe because it’s been a long day, and I’m tired! Anyway, thanks for your help; here goes nothing! ??

In reply to: New wordpress site, or embed WP into existing site?Yeah, I know; I almost like saying “iframe” just to watch people react! ??
But seriously, the RSS feed sounds promising. Where would I go to get info on how to embed that data into an html page? Or is that something simple that you might be able to show me here? (I don’t want to hijack my own thread; but all is fair in love and war…!)

In reply to: New wordpress site, or embed WP into existing site?Hmmm…well; my css skills are “newborn”, and modifying a WP theme looks daunting (but I haven’t read all the docs yet).
I think I remember seeing a doc or two on how to integrate WP posts within existing pages. So, how about this: set each pastor up with their own WP install, then display their posts in different iframes within my current site? All their publishing would be just like normal WP, and they could point people to their full WP site if they wanted to.
Thoughts?
