Hi Rodicaelena,
Thanks for your reply. As a test I also have the WP RSS Aggregator plugin installed. Now this feed url: https://www.cosmopolitan.com/uk/rss/love-sex not only passes the WC3 test:
But it also displays very well in WP RSS Aggregator. The question is why it displays in WP RSS and not in Feedzy. The answer I think lies the the tolerance of WP RSS for incomplete data and the lack of in Feedzy. I think also the time given by Feedzy to complete the data transfer before returning an error. It could be that WP RSS allows a little more time, and therefore retrieves sufficient data to display a feed.
I believe it would be advisable to check the relevant code in the WP RSS plugin in order to discover the reason and update the feedzy plugin.
Thanks
Hi Mara, thanks for your reply. I appreciate your point about the parser in WordPress, however I have installed WP RSS Aggregator and that has no problem with the above mention feed url. Could it be that that problem is with Feedzy and perhaps its lack of tolerance for invalid characters. If WP RSS Agregator can display the feed then so should Feedzy. Are you connected with Themeisle? Perhaps you could request a review of the plugin.

In reply to: [Under Construction] Plugin doesn’t respect access settingsHi Guys,
Thanks for your prompt reply. No eventually the admin role appeared to stick however when I clicked on to visit site I got the under construction message. I tried for more than twenty minutes to get round the problem but to no avail. I therefore had to delete the plugin and install another as I had to get on with redesigning my site.
I’d be more than willing to give the plugin another try, as I really like the installed themes, but right know I’m really pushed for time and need to work on my site. Thanks,
Will

In reply to: [Display RSS Feed] Open link in a lightboxHi Liz,
Thanks for your reply. Yes I would like to know how to display RSS feed in a lightbox; any help will be gratefully received.
I would also like to mention that having just installed the plugin that, although it’s grabbing the feed ok, the display is cascading sideways from left to right in rows of three instead of one vertical column ( I can show you here on a test site I’m not sure what is causing this, any ideas?
Thanks,
Will

In reply to: [Easy Media Download] Images with linksHi naa,
Thanks for your reply. I think I understand what you’re saying, that is, I can only specify a path to an image or file and not one that has a hyperlink attached to it.
May I reiterate though, I do not want to download a youtube video. I only want to download an image ( any image) that has an embedded hyperlink to youtube or any other 3rd party site.
Therefore, I believe what you’re saying is that what I’m trying to do is not possible.
I really appreciate your time.
Many thanks

In reply to: [Easy Media Download] Images with linksHi naa,
My apologies, I should have provided you with a link so that you could see first hand exactly what I’m trying to do.
This is a link to a page on my test site: https://www.activityneeds.co.uk/testphone/
If you click on the telephone image it simply redirects you to a youtube page. What I want to do is download that image complete with link intact.
In order to do that I included the following code ( behind the button ):
[easy_media_download url=”<img class=” wp-image-174883″ src=”https://www.activityneeds.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Testphone.png”width=”35″ height=”26″/> ” text=”Download” width=”90″ height=”30″ force_dl=”1″]
This actually works but the download comes as an html file and not an image.
The purpose of all this is to allow visitors to download the ‘image’ complete with link which they can then add to an email as a kind of emoticon/emoji.
I hope that explains what I’m trying to achieve.
Once again, thanks for your time.

In reply to: [Easy Media Download] Images with linksHi naa,
Thanks for your reply.
Ok, the problem so far is that once I have linked the image to another url ( with an <a href wrapper ) what I then download becomes an html file and not an image, which for me is useless.
If I simply want to download the image without a link using [easy_media_download url=”any url” force_dl=”1″] that works fine.
Perhaps you could replicate what I am trying to do, that is, add an image to a page ( from wp media libary ) add a hyperlink and then try and download it to your pc with the link intact. If it’s possible, it would be a great addition to the plugin’s many features.
I really appreciate your time; if you can find a solution to this problem it could be advantageous to us both.
Thanks,
Will

In reply to: [Squelch Tabs and Accordions Shortcodes] Request For Vertical TabsHi Matt,
Funnily enough I was looking around at jQuery stuff the other day and came across this: https://jqueryui.com/tabs/#vertical
Is this a step in the right direction?

In reply to: [Link Library] Pop Up ProblemHi Yannick,
Thanks for your reply and the following update. Unfortunately this has only partially solved the problem, ie the light box not longer picks up random images from the front page. But although the lightbox appears to be triggered all I get is a white square with the text link ‘ Click through to visit eg, England Squash and Racketball’.
At this point I’ll just settle for opening a link in another page.
I appreciate your time.
Thanks,
Will

In reply to: [Advanced Editor Tools] Rel links to lightbox not supported?Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your reply. I think that we can rule out the first option as I have tried numerous lightbox plugins and there is no difference. I think you’ve hit on the problem in your second option.
Unfortunately I could not find the rel_list in the advanced-tinymc files. Could you please indicate which file in the plugin I need to edit and if possible, using notepad, indicate the lines to edit.
Thanks again,
Will

In reply to: [Link Library] Pop Up ProblemHi Yannick,
The images are coming from the Black Studio TinyMCE Widget which itself is inside the Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin.

In reply to: [Link Library] Pop Up ProblemHi Yannick,
I’ve disabled the image slider but unfortunately the pop up box is now picking up other random images from the front page that were not included in the slider, see: https://www.lancashiresquashandracketball.co.uk/links/
It certainly is a mystery.
