I’ve got the ticket – we’ve got WP_DEBUG enabled but the log is empty – even after attempting to edit a product category. If it were a database corruption issue I guess I would have expected there to be something logged.

At any rate, I’m a big fan of clicking buttons until something works and I seem to have restored the ability to edit the product categories by doing this (screencast: https://cld.wthms.co/16csL/3BVO2eEz )

That’s the problem – to the best of my knowledge that is a server thing i.e. the content type handlers are not properly configured but it could also, possibly, be a browser issue.

@delbra – I don’t anticipate that I, personally, will ever get around to building that functionality. This plugin is not compatible with PHP7 and I haven’t got the time to make that work either so the plugin will probably be retired very soon. Sorry I don’t have better news for you.

The question that was asked should be clearly showing up in the results – something like this (screenshot: https://cld.wthms.co/16kQ1/3xeay4CD ) – if you are not experiencing something similar to that then it is most likely caused by a conflict of some sort. To isolate this type of issue I recommend you temporarily switch back to a default WordPress theme such as WordPress [Twenty Sixteen Theme](https://www.ads-software.com/themes/twentysixteen) and disable all plugins except for Awesome Surveys (this includes any plugins in “Must-use” or “Drop-ins” if they exist). If that resolves the issue, then slowly re-enable features until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

What are the response headers from the AJAX request when submitting the survey – specifically the content type header? You can check these in your browser’s developer tools.

@ramxis02 So, unfortunately I think this means the end of this plugin. I can’t make it compatible across all the versions of PHP. I will be removing the files from this repository soon. It will remain on github but will not be maintained.

Hey, thanks for all of that. I set up a php7 test environment and I am now able to replicate this. I’m not sure when of if I’ll be able to fix it but it’s on my “to do” list.

I haven’t got a PHP7 test environment (I guess I need to work on that) but that really shouldn’t make a difference. Can you make a screencast of the steps leading up to this – perhaps with something like https://recordit.co and send the link to that screencast so I can see if I can replicate the issue on my test environment.

Thanks for that. Can you get the error message from the error log? Also, what version of PHP is used on the site?

Can you use your browser’s developer tools and see what JavaScript errors are in the console?

What is the character encoding of your database set to?

This is the only plugin installed on wordpress. I have the default theme laoded in and have not done anything except installing your plugin

This is not reproducible under those conditions. When you say “default” theme, what is the name of that theme?
