I found the issue, I used the new, blanco form setup, but then I noticed you also have the option to add a new simple contact form and in there a the confirmation is build in.

Hi Mark, sorry for the late reply, I gave Gutenberg another chance and I have to admit I really like it. The learning curve is a bit steep but now I started to learn Gutenberg basics I think it’s a great editor.

So I changed my review to very positive.

Hi, many thanks for your answer and the link to the articles. Still I have some questions.

You wrote that when the homepage is built outside a page the Yoast metabox is not available but the metabox is available. When I go to the WP admin and click view site on top I have the option to edit page (pagina bewerken in dutch) see picture below.

Then when I click edit page I get the ‘real home’ which is not visible for viewers the Yoast metabox is available, in there I put my keywords and the meta description. My question is does it make sense to put any SEO in the Yoast settings because this page is not visible for the public anyway. Also to get Yoast SEO active with this page I need to put text and pictures on this page to meet Yoast SEO requirements but why should I do this because this page is not visible for the public anyway. See picture below.

Hi,I had the same ‘issue’ and I got it resolved by setting the page layout to Frontpage, that is one of the 3 options, the others are standard template and full width. After I selected Frontpage layout the white space right above the footer was gone. Hope it helps.

Make sure your page layout is set to Frontpage in de page layout settings.
