thanks, but that was there. checked to make sure the value wasn’t one that’s set to just show one catagory also. I have no idea what was wrong. I went back to 1.5.2 and all is well now. Runs a hell of a lot faster too.

I have many posts in the catagories kickass. Thought I mentioned that in my post here. But I see I didn’t, so sorry about that. I went back to 1/5/2 because of this. Also because 2.0 was slow as hell too though.

Seems to work now. I hovered over my link that wasn’t working, then the link buttons came to life. Strange behaviour though. So I guess this problem is solved.

I see when you hover over the link icons it says Alt-a and Alt-s, but even when I press those, nothing happens.

I forgot to mention that this is hosted with GoDaddy.com. It’s not hosted by WP. I’ve been in contact with them and there’s no problems on their end.

I found the cause of it for me. It was the pingomatic link on the options/writing/update services in the dashboard. Once I removed that link, it’s all fast again.

gscore, that’s my problem now also in 1.5.2. Wish someone could help and tell us what is causing this. I don’t have pingbacks or notify weblogs enabled. The post shows right away in a new tab, but the tab/window I publish it from takes extremely long to finish it’s process.

Viper, I don’t have that pingback or notify weblogs enabled. I didn’t think I was hijacking this either since i was trying to find more help since this seemed similar to me. Not the same so sorry about that. Still can’t figure out why even when I try to edit a post it hangs just like when i try to post. I’m not going to just upgrade either. It has been working fine. That’s not a solution.

Yet on here when I click send post, it’s instant, like it should be in my blog.

Same problem here. It’s really frustrating since I need to post things fast and it takes 1-2 minutes or more for a post to go through.

Thank you, I tried finding that for so long. I will close this post once I check it out and say it’s resolved.

I see that when I imported all the posts from typepress it didn’t give them an author, so I’m going back and changing the author to admin, then i will delete that user. hope this solves the problem.
