I deactivated it, but now I think it’s just showing the desktop version on mobile.

I’m having the same problem. I started setting up Hatch on an older site for practice and it worked beautifully (see https://maruarts.net) but when I started setting up the real site (https://marciashelly.com) I can’t get the bio or header photo to show up. The only differences in these two sites are when they were set up and who is hosting.

I think I figured it out. My picture was too small. When I uploaded a bigger version it showed up.

As it turns out, it was a matter of patience. Apparently it took about 30 minutes to take effect.

Now the only thing I can’t figure out is why new posts aren’t showing up on the front page as photos. The first one entered looks great, but new ones just show a white box. When I went to look at the working one in html viewing mode, it doesn’t even show an href statement. Where are the pictures getting pulled for the front page? Are there instructions somewhere that I missed?

I did everything above and still don’t see the text showing up. Is there some box to check or switch to turn on to show the author bio on the front page left side?

Then is there a way to begin using a new permalink format from here on out without messing up existing ones?

By messing up I mean that articles that have been linked to will no longer work on those external sites. That is my concern.

Everyone says this is so easy, and yet I’m still having trouble (embarrassed to ask, but…)

I have a tab https://wingspouse.com/blog/my-blog that I want to redirect to https://wingspouse.com/blog so it doesn’t look stupid.
1. I created my-blog.php and put it in my theme directory with all the other phps.
2. I edited the file to include the few lines above and saved.
3. I added a “Page” (not a post) on my site called My-Blog and saved.

Did I put the php file in the wrong location? Would appreciate advice.
