I notice you have managed to find some snowfall with another plugin, if you can think of any plugins etc that you believe may have contributed to the problem I would be gratefull so that I can try and deal with them for others?

There has just been an update, can you let me know what version of the plugin you are running just now, and if you have tried it after updating to version 2.0.0?

Thanks for the kind comments, and I’m glad your enjoying the plugin!

I will have a look at the Xmas lights and see if it’s something that can be added without treading on anyone else’s toes (or code!).

Great idea, and I am still planning on better mobile support and the ability to make snow gather on elements on the page(s). I have some client work that I need to get finished before I can throw more time on additional features but I will keep improving things and hopefully have it all polished up and ready soon.

    Thanks again ??

    Hi there,

Thanks for installing the plugin, I’m sorry your experiencing an issue.

I have done a fair bit of testing across a number of browsers and devices without coming up against anything major. What I have found is that if there are any other display orientated javascript elements on the page, the browsers have to share their resources between them, which can slow things down.

Is the page you are experiencing a problem with running a slider or similar? If so, which one?

Any chance you can send me a link so I can have a look and see if that is issue?

    Sorry for the delayed response.

At the moment it’s not device specific, so will show on mobiles also. I have a couple of updates in mind and may write that in also as its a good idea.

    Thanks

Fixed it – it was related to the path variables I had declared that didn’t take into account the plugin directory name that is assigned by the repo.

    Lesson learned ??

Have you tried to delete the twentyfourteen theme through the Appearance > Themes menu (not just deleting the directory), and the copying in a fresh copy of the theme (from the wp install download) into your wp-content/themes directory?

Haven’t tried it myself but it’s how I would first approach it.

    Good luck ??
