    Hello,

When you said “try to access the plug-in”, did you meant access by clicking on the ‘CSS & Javascript Toolbox’ menu item?

Another couple of questions that might helps!

I’ll list my questions by the most I’ve a doubt with so it will be simple for you to discover the issue!

1 – If the problem you facing is after clicking ‘CSS & Javascript Toolbox’ menu item, what is the URL (in the browser address bad) while the page is stalls? — Is the URL https://[YOUR-SITE-ADDRR]/wp-admin/admin.php?page=cjtoolbox ? Try to type this URL directly into the address bar without clicking the menu.

2 – Are you upgrading from version 0.3 or 0.8 or a fresh installation?
3 – Did you go the through the installation/upgrade process?
4 – In case you processed the installation/upgrade process, is the extensions page worked when clicked?

    Thank you for your help!

    Regards

    Hi Bryan,

Thanks very much for your message.
I am glad to hear you got it working with the bypass instructions.
Personally, I would just leave it in there. BulletProof Security is a great plugin and updating it will not remove any custom rules.
If you were to remove it, and rebuild the .htaccess file again then you will see the bypass rule removed from .htaccess
In fact you can open your secure .htaccess file in the wp-admin folder using a text editor such as TextWrangler or Coda and see your custom rule added in there.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy using the CJT plugin.

    Hi redwall,

Just to recap for others who may be experiencing similar problems.

Now it seems the issue is either a conflict or security rules using Better WP Security with .htaccess files that may be preventing AJAX from running. This would require further investigation on a fix or bypass rule.

In the meantime, as long as you have NOT uninstalled the CJT V6 CE plugin (which deletes the code block data completely), you can retrieve this data.

If you go into phpMyAdmin and look into a table called something like: xxxxx_cjtoolbox_blocks, you should see your code block data in the ‘code’ column. You could either copy your script data and paste them into a text editor, or Export this table as a CSV, which will open in a spreadsheet such as Numbers or Excel. This at least gives you the peace of mind that you have your code block data saved locally. Then you can always rebuild the code blocks using your code block data.

We are still investigating this issue and as soon as we know more, we will let you know.
We will also let you know how to update to CJT V6 CE safely.

    Many thanks,
    Damian

    Hi redwall,

Thanks for your support message and providing details of what you are experiencing.

First and foremost, please DO NOT uninstall version 6.0 if you want to keep your code block data. Uninstalling the plugin from WordPress will delete your blocks permanently and you will lose it. If the plugin is not behaving as it should then you can simply deactivate the plugin. If the plugin is totally breaking your website, then you can use an FTP program like FileZilla, log into your website backend, navigate to the plugins folder (something like this: public_html/wp-content/plugins) and delete the css-javascript-toolbox folder.
Now that said, we have fully tested the plugin, the upgraders – upgrading from both v0.3 and v0.8 and everything worked fine. But sometimes issues can arise due to conflicts with other plugins for example. And this leads to my next question: Do you have BulletProof Security installed? If so, you would need to put a bypass rule in for Ajax. Please go to this forum post for instructions.

If you are still having issues, please email us on: [email protected]
We will post any findings to this support post.

    Damian

    Hi Dailen,
Thanks very much for your feedback and high rating. I really appreciate it.
Yes it has been a while between drinks for the update and I am surprised it still works… LOL. No, seriously I am currently upgrading the plugin as we speak (or as I type) and it will have the same core as our premium CJT V6 version, which has been totally rebuilt from the ground up. In fact, the new version of CJT community edition is going to be much more stable and contain a lot of features that its V6 cousin enjoys!
The update for the CJT community has been well and truly long overdue, and I intend to make it massive. Please follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/CJToolbox and keep up to date with all the developments.

    Many thanks,
    Damian

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your email.
Did you click the Front Page checkbox in the assignment panel and select Header in the Location Hook drop-down box? This should add the code in the Header of the homepage.
We do know about some incompatibilities with WordPress version 3.5 (and higher) in regard to saving code templates. That said, we will be upgrading the core of the free version to our Premium CJT V6 version. It will be a total rewrite, much more stable, and have heaps more features and options. This should not be too far away. Please subscribe to our Twitter page for CJT news. https://twitter.com/CJToolbox

    Many thanks,
    Damian

    Hello Jorge,

Thank you very much for contacting us and for your interest in our premium plugin.

We have just launched our Premium CSS & JavaScript Toolbox V6 edition.
Our plugin does support many options like what you have said, although it does not support user roles at this stage unfortunately. Having said that, we are very proactive in gaining user feedback and implementing feature requests, since we want this solution to be the most versatile integrated development environment (IDE) plugin for WordPress.

We briefly looked into the Envato marketplaces, but decided to sell exclusively through our CJT website: https://css-javascript-toolbox.com

If you are Following us through Twitter: https://twitter.com/CJToolbox, you will be notified of any news regarding the launch of CJT V6.
    Thanks again for your interest.

    Kind Regards,
    Damian

Hello and thanks for your question.
We are currently working on a premium version, which will be launched within days to do exactly what you are asking, to assign code syntax to Search and 404 pages.
For the free community version of CJT, we are planning on a big update as it is getting long in the tooth, and it will be updated not long after our premium CJT V6 launch. We would like to add things like Search and 404 assignments amongst many other cool features to the free edition.
    Kind Regards,
    Damian

Just a heads up on the recent error (or more-so latest warning).
This is has been forced in the latest version of WordPress 3.5 for more security.
You may already know this, but for other users experiencing this warning error with CJT, you can read more about it in Andrew Nacin’s latest post.

We’ll take care of this in the next update.

    Damian
