  • Using IE instead of Firefox gives me this message:
“The website cannot display the page
    HTTP 500
    Most likely causes:
    The website is under maintenance.
The website has a programming error.

    What you can try:
    Refresh the page.

Go back to the previous page.

    More information

This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying.

For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.”

I still don’t have the first clue how to solve this though.

Hey vizionquest – thanks for the info. I am having a similar problem. Off to try logging in on a different browser.

Me too! I’m having this exact same problem. I have been all over the forums here trying to find out what’s wrong, but nobody knows anything so far.

It just started for me yesterday after 3 years without this problem. No recent changes to the sire, no template changes for 6 months and I don’t run any plugins.

I also cannot leave any comments on my site to let people know why I’m not posting. It’s frustrating.

Any help with this would be really really appreciated. I’m at a loss.

I am having the same problem. I get a blank screen when I try to log in to my admin. Two days ago it was fine – I could adminster and post. Today, all I get is a blank screen when I hit the “Login” button on my site.

Many thanks to anyone who can help here. I’ve never had this problem before.

Thanks for responding drmike. She says that multiple browsers won’t let her in. I don’t know if the error is to do with the theme but she used to be able to get in without a problem and other people still can.

    I’ll ask her about pinging.

Please don’t explode in bewilderment when I ask: how will I know if I’ve been pinged? I’m a bit of a hopeless Luddite, me. But I’m willing to learn.

Thanks again. I appreciate the time you’ve taken to help.
