In reply to: [Contact Form 7] My form field codes have disappeared (Chinese language form)I was updating Chinese form No. 1. I changed a few places and saved it.
Then I went back into the Chinese form No. 1. But the form was empty. I thought it might be an internet problem so I logged out and logged in again. But the contact form was still empty.
Then I visited the website and tried to open the link to the Chinese form but nothing on the page.
What surprised me was that Chinese Form No. 2 also disappeared.
Could this have anything to do with site caching?
Thanks,

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] After the Deadline ErrorsAny updates on this? Having exactly the same problems. WordPress 3.8.1, twenty fourteen theme and TinyMCE Spellcheck plugin installed. Reinstalled WordPress, deactivated all other plugins. Continue to have the same error message:
GENERAL
404
At: https://stieglitzsisters.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=proxy_atd&url=/checkDocumentBlog: stieglitzsisters.com
Any ideas – I ran the xmlrpc.php access test which was OK but don’t know how to do the curl test.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
Wizard247Fixed. The slug/permalink was in Chinese characters and it didn’t like that. Once I changed it into English, the page appeared under https.

In reply to: W3 Total Cache: Slider doesn't work anymoreI have exactly the same problem with a Revolution Slider and Avada Theme from ThemeFusion.
What settings can I tweak to prevent this? I know I can set the Home Page not to be cached, but this is just where I need to speed it up as it has the Revolution Slider on it.
Excellent – thanks. Replacing publicize-jetpack.php fixed mine as well. ??
Update: resolved! (partly)
What it needed was formats for all three file formats to cover all browsers and platforms. I basically looked on https://mediaelementjs.com/ own site to see how they had done their video as I could see it on all browsers.
So, downloaded a converter and uploaded .ogv and .webm files as well as the .mp4 I already had. My code is this:
[video mp4="https://www.salesclosingpower.com/wp/video/bill-bishop-seminar-steam-analogy-h264.MP4" ogg="https://www.salesclosingpower.com/wp/video/bill-bishop-seminar-steam-analogy.ogv" webm="https://www.salesclosingpower.com/wp/video/bill-bishop-seminar-steam-analogy.webm" poster="https://www.salesclosingpower.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/poster-steam.jpg" preload="true" autoplay="false" width="290" height="218"] [/video]
I used the [/video] closing tag to cover all bases.
The video and audio work in Firefox, IE, Chrome and Safari, although autoplay=”false” still doesn’t work unfortunately…
Would appreciate anyone letting me know if they have been able to fix that one.
thanks,
Wizard247Update: it works in Safari
Update: get only audio in Firefox
Still nothing in IE or Chrome (perpetually loading…) It’s a 3 minute video of 7 MB.
This is my embed code:
[video mp4="https://www.salesclosingpower.com/wp/video/bill-bishop-seminar-steam-analogy.mp4" preload="true" autoplay="false" width="290" height="218"]Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Password-Protect Pages not working in WordPress 3.5.1Well, waddayaknow? My provider came back again (a different person this time) and this was their response:
“We have again gone through your issue and found that there was an issue with “ModSecurity: Access denied”, now we have corrected your issue.”
After this, password-protected pages worked fine again. My advice, check with your provider and don’t get fobbed off.
Good luck,

In reply to: Upgraded to 3.4 now Password Protected Pages not workingJust in case anyone comes here. Today my issue was fixed through hosting provider solution:

In reply to: Password-Protect Pages not working in WordPress 3.5.1My provider (3iX – I would never use them again) have come back with this:
Upon detailed investigation, we came to a conclusion that there seems to be a problem with the wordpress itself. We tried many tricks in order to fix this, but that did not help. So, we request you to please contact wordpress in this regards as there is no problem at the server end. There seems to be something in your Plugin or Theme. Hope you understand.
Not sure what the “many tricks” are, but it seems a case of passing the buck… ??
