Thanks for advice! I forgot to mention I have another web on the same hosting, which uses own database (but physically its the same server), there is everything ok; WP files for the problematic site look ok too (as far i can say); anyway luckily i have saved the database some time og, so in the worts case it would require reinstall and uploading the old database…

unfortunately i am not able to find the version of php and sql they are using, but i asked them if this hosting is suitable for wordpress and they replied yes…
