In reply to: Placing images onto a wordpress blog.in your post page, there should be a upload button below your the space where you type your post. click browse then point to the file, and say upload. this will put the file on the server. it will then show you the image in the browse all tab. if you click the image, it will say use thumbnail, this will put a small pic it will also say not linked. If you want a thumbnail sized where you can click to enlarge it you go down to where it says not linked and click it, and it says linked. if you just want a full sized image, where it says use thumbnail, click it and it changes to original size.. then in the same menu there is the option to send to editor.. click that and it will put the image in the post.

In reply to: restoring database from backuppowweb sql has a password. when it does an install it makes it. he had to put a password in when he logged into the phpmyadmin… I’m hosted off powweb myself, so I know he has to have a password on the database.
Check your ops and the SQL server, to see if they possibly changed SQL servers on you too. I’m still slated for migration myself, so I’m not sure if the mysql server changes also. But check to make sure that it did not change. If it did, you’ll have to tell wordpress what the new mysql server is. I’m sure the username and password were probably migrated over if they did change the servers on you.

In reply to: “hello world” commentsI logged into the database using phpmyadmin, and went to the wp_comments and the browse tab was empty.. showing no comments. I did a simple test comment to my taurus post, and when I clicked the wp_comments in the db, the browse tab was selectable, and only the test comment was in it. so that is not going to do it. Anyone with any other options?
I wouldn’t mind just deleting the post all together, but last time I did, it hosed the site, and I really don’t want to redo the site again.. even if there is not much on it right now.
