In reply to: Suddenly all links and menu items open in new tabs! :OMoondrop got it.
As soon as I started reading that, it dawned on me what I did. And yes, this was my own fault ??
I have a few text (HTML) widgets I use just for showing an image with a link to a website…like the sponsor logos you see. I use Microsoft Expression Web 4 to just doodle those little bits of code up, because I’m mind-bogglingly lazy, and then I copy & paste.
And I pasted in those blank target references with each one. [facepalm]
So, thank you good sir or madam, as the case may be – and Kevin too ??
I’ll show myself out. Argh.

In reply to: Suddenly all links and menu items open in new tabs! :OYeah I thought of that, but that isn’t it. All other websites work fine – including all my other WP sites, including the other one that uses the same theme.
This is definitely driving me nuts though…need to get it figured out.

In reply to: php-cgi.exe doesn't do anything…? Super slow! This is driving me nuts…could really use someone’s insight.
As a hail Mary I even did a quick update on the PHP install. Didn’t make any difference.
The problem can’t be the server itself per se…as noted, the resources are wide-open, and requests for non-WP sites are answered immediately. I don’t think it can be really too much about the PHP install itself – the phpbb forum responds instantly. Can’t be the MySQL database…the phpbb forums run on that too, and it’s instant.
But when a request comes in for one of the WP sites – any of them, from really tiny ones to really big ones, it takes *forever* to get a response. And watching the server…nothing’s happening.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

In reply to: [Visual Form Builder] Email to address collected from form?Oh…and further to that topic, would it be possible (in the Pro version or free version) to customize said email…like, to include extra default text (“Your friend referred you to us!”) or embed an image attachment (like a coupon) or something?
Oh, turns out I was doing something stupid. Like not putting the placeholder in. Nevermind me.

In reply to: General questions about using Windows Live WriterIt’s 2011.
And while I see that I can create a new page…how do I edit an existing page?
That’s the fundamental problem that I’m running into…

In reply to: General questions about using Windows Live WriterThey had surprisingly few posts that referenced WP already…posted a new question there though. Thanks!

In reply to: General questions about using Windows Live WriterYes it is…however, I’d found that a while ago and noted that it didn’t supply any tips on how to actually use WLW – just how to set it up. Which is pretty easy.
Like right now, my main problem is I can’t seem to figure out how to get WLW to let me edit pages other than the main page.
