@evadry in the end it is just a css setting. If you are sure, that all images should be set to contain, add the following to your css:

.wp-block-eedee-block-gutenslider .eedee-background-div img {
object-fit:contain !important;
}

@seventhose we checked it out. It is an issue with the Flow-Flow plugin you are using. It has to generic css rules that override the css from all slick-sliders on the page. You should file an issue on their page. You can also add a link to here.

That said, you can add the following css to your theme / customizer which will fix it for you.

.wp-block-eedee-block-gutenslider .slick-slide {
  display: block;
}

@antonyjosephsmith thanks again for your bug reports.

We fixed the insert slide button in 4.4.12, however the “jumping” remains, until the next big ux update, when we implement new Gutenberg options to make the slides appear vertically, even when editing.

Would you prefer to click a button to go back from “edit mode” to “preview?

thank yoou for your annotations. We are constantly improving ux and ui and will implemnent your critique in the upcoming releases at the beginning of 2021. We know that the ux is not perfect but was the best choice when we created gutenslider. We are elaborating other options currently and hope that everything you mention will be implemented soon. Also agree about the top level admin item. Expect bigger changes.

@calmsmile please checkout 4.4.10. We added the feature. Find it when you edit the slides background in the block settings. Or add an empty slide with image background and click “Insert from URL”.

@mrewey sorry, the issue should be fixed in 4.4.10 which is online now.

@cebbi thanks for you report with fix. unfortunately that is not the only issue with ie11. one more is that it does not support css vars, which we make heave use of. the polyfills around do not work for us and it is currently not on our agenda to support ie11 in the future. however if you want to test around, i can send you a zip with the code altered you named so the rest is css issues … if you want drop us a line at [email protected]

It seems there is an issue with that css in “dv-post-slider”. If you want you can always go back to a specific version of gutenslider: 4.4.7 you can find it here:
