In reply to: Can I put “clear:both;” in the stylesheet somehow?Unfortunately, neither seems to work.
BTW, this:
body { background:#FFFFFF; font:80%/1.5em Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#333333; margin:0; } img { vertical-align:middle; border:none; }
is the only mention of img in the original stylesheet, if that matters.

In reply to: “Third” ThemeI like it — it’s elegant and without that affected spartan look many “simple” themes have.

In reply to: CSS help needed to resize columnps — The second block you cited above doesn’t seem relevant, as it applies to images I post, not ads served by javascript, right?

In reply to: CSS help needed to resize columnI changed the left and right padding from 20 to 10 px, and it fits, but it looks off-center. Any lower than that and the text is too close to the column edge. It looks best with text ads, so maybe I’ll let it ride without image ads.
Thanks.

In reply to: 2.5 admin backend annoyingI used text widgets to store ad blocks and switched them in and out frequently. Now I have to re-edit them every time I want to change something. This is flat-out stupid. I’ll stick with 2.3.3 for most of my sites, thanks.

In reply to: what’s wrong with my comment box?By the way, I just realized that you can’t see the problem unless you’re logged in. It’s the actual text input space that’s weird.

In reply to: what’s wrong with my comment box?Huh. I should say that I’m using ubuntu linux, and the IE I tested it in is obviously windows.
I’ve tried it at 1680×1050, 1280×1024 and 1024×768 on three separate linux machines, and they all make it look funky in FF.
