    Hi @mateithemeisle ,

Many thanks for the help every time!

Actually it’s not that bad without the flags at hover.

I was wondering, could we move the flags to the right of the text on the desktop version only? That will look much better because the menu on the desktop is aligned on the right, unlike the mobile which is aligned on the left and it looks good as it is right now (I left the flags in the drop-down items but removed them from the menu item in the main menu).

    Regards

    Hi @mateithemeisle ,

Thank you for the detailed and careful answers!

To copy a page, I first create a new blank page and then go to the one I want to copy, at the top right of the WordPress visual editor when you press the three dots, there is an option under “tools” which is called “copy all content.” I do that and I paste into the newly created page. Then I check “Disable Title” in the Neve options and thus I have a new page with the same content. Is there a better way?

    edit:

You can see what I mean here:

    https://test1.zenlingua.com/

I fixed the mobile-menu-item colour by changing “active item colour” to black in the desktop version, but I want it white / light grey on the desktop and black in the mobile / tablet menu only.

    Hi @mateithemeisle ,

    Thank you for your answer!

Polylang finally replied that if both language name and flags are shown, then it should be possible to hide some of the elements with CSS.

Could you help with hiding the language name and leaving the flag only for the item as shown in the menu, and then hiding the flags in the dropdown menu except when an item in it is hovered?

Here’s the exact reply from the support:

We won’t implement such level of customization. But if you select to display both the flags and names, it should indeed be possible to hide/show what you want in CSS by targeting the right html elements. Indedd, the language switcher comes with specific classes such as .lang-item, .lang-item-en, etc to allow you to target exactly what you want without impacting the other menu items.

I left both the flags and the names here:

PS The topic is marked as resolved, but it hasn’t been.

    Hi @andreearadacina21 ,

    Thanks for your reply!

I can try with that code, but any idea what caused the extra space to appear on that duplicated page but not on the original page? It shouldn’t be there in the first place.

One other strange thing happens all the time and I think it might be related – when I edit my homepage, at the end in the “Join us” section, there is always an extra paragraph ready to be written on. I have to remove it manually every single time I open the page for editing. I think this is because I once pressed enter after the last paragraph, but then after I removed it, why does it keep reappearing?

Likewise on that duplicated page, there is initially a plus that can be used to add a new section. Instead of doing this, I’m pasting the content of the page I want to duplicate. However, the plus remains at the end and it cannot be removed, or if I add a paragraph and then remove it, after that I still have the white extra space.

    Wait @mateithemeisle ,

It finally worked! I had to press very close to the video indeed, like a millimetre away – if a little bit further away or by clicking on the video itself it wouldn’t work. So now the problem is solved. Thank you!

    Hi @mateithemeisle ,

    Thanks for your answer!

I’ve been looking everywhere for that little pencil but I just don’t find it.

It seems like I can’t attach screenshots to posts in this forum but if I click right next to the video, there’s one folder icon at the top left that does nothing and three dots next to it that when clicked only say “hide more settings.” In the block options to the right there is “Layout,” “Style” and “Advanced,” but none of those has the option to edit the URL.

    Best regards,

    Hi @mateithemeisle ,

Only “on point” has two words, but together with “lightweight” they are both longer than “smart.” Adding a line break would not work even if it was displayed because it would move the text below further down. But I’m thinking – can it be because the icon (a battery) is not as tall as the feather and the pointer?

In the editor, the three sections’ heights look identical. Only when saved and only on the desktop, the third is narrower.

If I try to add a line break at the bottom (i.e. after “we get the brightest minds…”), then in the editor it looks like this section becomes taller and the white background goes above and below the same background behind the two sections to the left. But when saved, this line break is actually not shown, so it looks the same as before it was added.

Update: actually the best would be if I get only a flag in the menu displayed on the page, only names when the list is shown in the menu, and flag+list when hovered.

I got it – I didn’t realise it must be activated once, and then added as an item inside of a menu – I thought it would appear separately.

    Hi @bvytis,

My first two sites did not have this look out of the box when I installed Neve.

    Here’s one of them:

    What starter site is that?

    Thanks, @vytis !

The !important seems to be necessary, it didn’t work until I added it.

With !important added, I was able to remove the line from the top, but not from the bottom.

In other words, this extra code excludes the added CSS from being applied to the title, but does not take away the original line under it.

That would indeed have worked in the case I asked for – adding extra lines under the new headings excluding the title. But actually, I got used to the line being on top and I think I prefer to remove all lines from the Title and just keep one above each paragraph. Can we do that?

It might have been nicer with the lines under the Headings as it was originally meant to be, but since I haven’t been able to take the paragraphs further away from each other, this only adds extra space and makes it more confusing for the reader.

Actually I noticed from the page options in the editor that it’s possible to remove the Title from a given page. I haven’t tried it, but it’s probably better and quicker with CSS, as it can more easily be programmed for every page from the Customising section. Also I don’t know if taking away the title could affect the page characteristics and SEO.

    Hi @denamv

It is very nice that you helped with these codes!

They work, but the problem is that when I insert the code, it also affects the title, there already present line under it remains, and so there are two lines under the Title of the first section and that looks even worse. I somewhat made things better by putting the lines over the Headings, but it would be best if I could have one line under each section.

Wouldn’t it be useful if a possibility to select “Title” from Pages/Edit/Change Heading Level is incorporated, or make this menu available for the Title on top of the page as well? Thus everybody will be able to use it and the line will come automatically, I think it will be an easy improvement on the theme’s functionality.

The Line Height idea does not work, because it affects the space both above and under the Heading. What I need to do is to separate the sections, i.e. there must be space only above and not under the Heading. Also, it adds more space between the Heading and the lines surrounding them. I just need more space between the different paragraphs, with their titles close to the text following them as they are.

I tried with adding a couple of <p> or <br> tags but that didn’t work.
