I found the issue. In my wp-config this was set:
define( ‘WP_ENVIRONMENT_TYPE’, ‘local’ );

I changed it to production and now the tags are being generated properly.

I should add that I’ve tried Resetting the Site Kit and uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin a few times. Everything says it’s connected properly but no code is being generated on the live site.

I’m wondering this same thing.

I stumbled upon this plugin and was really interested in it. I went ahead activated it halfway through a project but had to deactivate it because I didn’t want to go through the trouble of turning it off on all of the sections I had already built out. Besides adding an extra wrapper on the sections where I don’t need it, it also slightly changed the layout on those sections. I can see that wouldn’t be an issue if I used it on a fresh project but I’d still like the option to only activate it where it’s needed.
