Thank you for your response. I’m using a theme called Generate press and to the best of my knowledge this theme has not been tinkered with (so settings are default). Anyway, from our support discussion I understand that I do need to change something in my theme. So I’ve been hacking around changing what I dare and testing for the consequent impact on the positioning of the references (e.g., I changed container width from 1200px to 1000 px) but I’ve not found the solution. Could you maybe suggest which theme setting I should be looking to change / restore to default in order to move the positioning of the references further away from the very left edge of the screen?

Hi. Thank you very much for your response. The example at the end of the link you provided looks perfect. From your response, I infer that in order to achieve something like the example, I need to make changes to my theme and in order to do this I need to add some CSS. I’ve used very little CSS, what I’ve used is “pre-written” by someone answering a support question similar to the one I have and then I hack around amending the CSS to do what I need it to do (sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn’t). Is there any chance you could respond by pasting in the CSS you use to achieve what you did in the example?
