In reply to: [Affiliate Super Assistent] How to change margins between content and border@fjordkommission that’s right!
@kimsr can you send me a link where I can see your issue? I guess it can be fixed with a few lines of custom CSS.
Yes, that’s what I meant. But the </p> tag does not come from ASA1. I guess it’s inserted automatically because there is a line break after or before the script tag.
I’ll check it again and if there is something to optimize, I will do that for the next update.
Maybe it is due to the handling of the embedded script block. This is used for the Ajax mode. Have you ever tried it without it?
By the way, I only get the two loading animations on the page where the products should appear.
Maybe this helps:
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/32570351/shortcode-output-adding-br-after-new-lineAnother idea: If it is not already the case, please set the content of your template to only one line, so that there are no line breaks in your template.
If that doesn’t help either, please try it without the CSS code that belongs to the template.
Sorry for the banal question, but I just wanted to make sure. According to your last statement, I suspect that different things happen in the background when you save posts than when you save pages.
You have already dealt with the topic that the editor automatically inserts paragraphs, haven’t you? I would now like to test if it behaves the same way if you disable all plugins (except ASA). Because ASA doesn’t insert anything before and after its shortcodes, but maybe another plugin does this with shortcodes in posts.
Hi Sascha,
sorry for my late reply. My guess is that the paragraphs are created by placing the shortcodes on a separate line. Have you tried embedding them in the text flow yet?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me / us. ??
I am not a qualified legal expert. Regarding the iframe question, I think it is ok to display the product review page via iframe as long as the origin of the content is pointed out. Furthermore, it is technically possible to prevent the integration of a page via iframe. So Amazon could technically prevent the integration of their own pages via iframe. Maybe that is already the case, I don’t know, because I am not a friend of this approach. It might be an added value for the real visitor, but in terms of SEO in my opinion it doesn’t bring much advantage.
To keep up to date on the ASA1 and ASA2 development, I recommend to

In reply to: [Affiliate Super Assistent] Caching does not seem to workHi Sascha,
you’re right. There is an option to disable the cache if you are logged in as admin. This is meant so that you don’t always have to empty the cache to see your changes while creating new content.
Don’t worry about your question, there are no stupid questions. ??
I appreciate any feedback from the users of my plugin.Sorry for my late reply. It was a lot of information you left here… ?? Thanks for all the interesting hints and thoughts you have. I am glad that you appreciate my plugins.
The iframe to show the Amazon ratings page is a nice idea, even if it would go slightly beyond the scope of a standard product template.
ASA2 can still read the product ratings because it is not dependent on the API response and therefore continues to work with PA API 5. However, regardless of the technology used, Captcha responses are becoming more and more frequent with automated requests.
The best approach to avoid this is to use proxy servers. ASA2 supports the use of proxy servers, see https://bit.ly/asa2kb-ratings-proxies
We still have a few new ideas in the pipeline to improve the process. However, since these are relatively complex, they are currently only available in ASA2 (https://getasa2.com/).
I look forward to further feedback from you. ??
Hi,
thank you for your request. Reviews from buyers in text form are not delivered by the Amazon PA API and the terms of use do not allow the use of these. Anyway, it would be duplicate content, which is not appreciated by Google.
The star ratings are also not delivered by the API. However, ASA2 tries to pull this data from the product page, which is not always guaranteed to be successful, as Amazon tries to block this request. You can read more about this issue here: https://docs.getasa2.com/ratings.html and here: https://bit.ly/asa2kb-ratings-proxiesI hope I was able to help you. If you still have questions, please let me know.

In reply to: [Affiliate Super Assistent] Rating not workingHi,
Ratings are not provided by the PA API. With the change to PA API version 5, ASA1 no longer supports the ability to read ratings on its own. ASA2 can still do this, because it has been working independently of the API result for some time.
I hope I was able to help you. If you still have questions, please let me know.

In reply to: [Affiliate Super Assistent] Api 5.0 problemSorry for my late reply.
The ratings currently don’t work with ASA1 and PA API 5, because it does not support the URL for the ratings page any more, from which ASA1 got the ratings.
ASA2 is not limited to this and can still offer the ratings.
